Try to run your updated anti-virus and anti-malware programs in safe mode. If this does not help, since cleaning viruses or malwares may really take time and requires different utilities depending the type and severity of inection, it may be best to fully reformat the hard disk and reinstall the operating system. Try to do a back up of important data on a separate storage so you can do a separate scan on it when you need to restore them back to your system.

Try to 'restore' to an earlier time, or to 'recover' to factory settings to delete those viruses.

When I scan,it states to be sure I have properClamwin. It has been working fine except it is very slow on scan & I receive this notice.

It may be possible that your clamwin has been attacked by a virus.
Some virus makers write viruses that specifically attack virus guards.
You can download a better antivirus such as Kaspersky and scan your computer.
Otherwise try reinstalling clamwin again.
