Samsung CPL-300 Color Laser Printer Problem W/ Labels

I Just purchased a Samsung CPL-300 Laser printer.
I have attempted printing color dvd labels w/ poor results.
The label mfg. states they are compatible w/ all laser printers.
They suggested that I change the paper setting to labels or transparency in order to adjust the fusing.
I tried both settings, neither produced good results.
The surface of the label comes out of the printer w/ small bubbles on the graphics area; after cooling/drying the ink then comes off the label.
It appears that the printer is too hot.
There are no suggestions in the Samsung manual, which by the way, you must download fron their website as a pdf file as no manual comes w/ the printer.

Same prob w my CLP300. Most (but esp. dark green, dark blue, brown) colours come out as if too wet and bubbled/smudged on my labels. Toner simply brushes or blows off paper. Toning down the intensity of the colours works - light green, yellow, pink etc are all fine. Specs from Samsung say labels should be 120-150 GSM, 32-40 Pound Bond and 100-250 Sheffield Smoothness. These are very heavy papers and prob. expensive. Setting the paper type to 'thin' seems to work OK - prob. telling the fuser not to overheat.
    Hope this helps.

I have encountered the same problem with printing CD labels. The ink just smears on the surface and I get nothing I can use. Has any one found any labels that actually print correctly when running through this printer?

I have a similar problem, but while printing on card stock... it's like it just avoids printing in a certain spot each time. the area around the blank can sometimes flake off a bit more too.
Yes, I've changed the settings to card stock.. but it still misses that spot. It works completely maybe once in 34 prints, if I'm lucky.
I'm wasting paper, time, ink... ooh, the frustration.

I work in the comercial printing game, what your describing sounds like the surface finish used on these labels is only suited to black toner. Black requires the least amount of heat to set, where as colours require more radient heat the lighter the colour gets from black. Try printing a black/monotone lable and see if you still get this blistering problem.

Copied this from the specification on HP site.

It would appear not to take 5 x 7. It's the 7" is to small, 8.5 is the smallest.

I have Samsung CLP/610 laser printer and need to

"MP tray" refers to the manual paper tray. This is the common setting for most word processors whenever printing media other than paper. This message will come not only for labels, but for transparencies, card stock, envelopes, etc. The reason for this is that the manual paper tray is designed to provide a straighter paper path that helps preventing your labels from peeling inside the unit. Therefore, I do not recommend placing them in the regular paper tray. Take note that you should also check that the labels purchased specify they are meant for laser printer or copier. Regular labels, or labels designed for inkjet printers will surely come off inside your printer and cause damage that the warranty will not cover.

Be blessed.

How do you print Glossy Photos on a Samsung Color Laser CLX-3160FN printer without the laser buring off the gloss?

Do you have the right type of paper? I suspect the glossy paper you have is for an inkjet and is melting/buring when it is going through the fuser of your laser printer. The same thing for sticky back labels. Unless they say they are rated or compatible with a laser printer, don't use them.
