Tv shuts off sporadically, and now won't recieve any video signal

My tv started going black sporadically about a week ago. i thnk the first time I still had audio. if we shut the tv off and turned it back on again, it would be fine. some days it barely did it, others every few minutes. Now it's blue, and says that the video signals are wrong... thought it was just working a few minutes before. has anyone had this happen? thank you!!!!!!!!

Same problem as above. At first I thought it was the cable box, but after a new one was installed, it continued to do it. No, all I get is a blue screen even on the DVD setting.

Check the solder on the vertical output IC this is a common problem and can cause loss of video while sound remains and often will shut the set down with a vertical deflection error

Red Vertical bars cover the right 1/4 of the screen. They starting appearing sporadically several weeks ago and would go away, now they stay on the screen, regardless of video input ..

Try resetting the TV to the factory settings. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue still persists, then the TV requires service.

check to insure that your input signal is clean,(clean picture) most modern TV`s blank the video if it is deemed of poor quality, also if you are using a VCR and are viewing pirate copy tapes the VCR will output a varying video level output signal to deter pirating of movies, using a video stabilizer between your VCR and your video input may solve this problem for you, check with your user manual as to the light flashing condition in the diagnostic section this will indicate the fault you are experiencing good luck

Pioneer SD-582HD5 - screen went black, no sound, Poor remote feed

The blue tube might be leaking coolant in the high voltage area, that is the cause of the POP. This repair might not be a DIY because of the lethal high voltage surrounding the CRTs tubes.
The slow response from the remote could be because the coolant has affected the main board where the IR signal are going to the remote sensor.
Let me know if you require further assistance.

Component Video inputs do not work

I started back in the day of tubes. A family would have one set and it would be a 19" black and white. There are different resolutions now. The components probably do work, but, they don't pass the 480i signal. The satelite converter's analog signal needs to be set to 480p and the DVD needs to be set to progressive if it does have that setting. If the DVD is not a progressive scan DVD, then, the only inputs that it will show on is the analog signal. Some of the dish converters have a switch on the face for changing the resolution. If yours doesn't then put it in an analog source and go to the menu and change it there. Then move it to the component input. Hope this helps.
