Sounds like the sound drivers are not installed.Goto control panel-device manager and see if there is any hardware that has a yellow mark on it,if there is no drivers are installed.Goto manufacturers website and download the correct driver and install it.

How do I change my audio setting

It depends on what you want to change about your audio setting. My cable box remote has two audio settings: one for changing the SAP language sound from English, to Spanish or French; and a setting that changes two separate audio functions: one changes the broadcast sound from Dolby Digital (TM) sound to regular stereo sound, and the other will allow using either a fixed setting (cable box sound level is at a fixed level allowing one to use the sound control on the TV, or other audio receiver), or a variable setting (allowing the use of the cable box to adjust the audio level).

My Sony TV control also allows me to adjust the tv's audio treble, bass, balance, and special effect sounds, and if needed, to turn the tv speakers off. Hope this is helpful..................Gary

My phone is Nokia E5. I am not able to hear the ringtone, songs or any other audio in my phone. Please help me to resolve this problem

Hell there,

If are unable to the ringtone, songs or any ohter audio on your nokiaE5,try use the Playing Audio troubleshooter to fix the problem. It checks for common problems with your volume settings, your sound card or driver, and your speakers or headphones.

Open the Playing Audio troubleshooter by selecting Start > Control Panel, and then under System and Security select Find and fix problems. Under Hardware and Sound, select Troubleshoot audio playback. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

For more information on troubleshooting common sound problems check http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/Tips-for-fixing-common-sound-problems

I was wondering if there's a way to change audio out from variable to fixed cause I want the volume out only from my surround sound not from the tv I heard If I switch from variable to fixed the problem...

No variable audio out means that whatever the volume is at on the TV it will output that level from the TV. So if you have your surround sound on and if you change the volume on your TV it will also make your surround sound louder with out having to turn up that volume on your surround sound, but if you have your volume muted then so will the audio out. So if it is a fixed audio out then no matter what level you have the TV set to it will output the same level. If you just want audio to go to your surround sound then just hook the video cables up to your TV and the audio to your surround sound. I would guess that you are using Red and White cables... If you are that only gives you left and right audio. Not surround sound, so you would want to run optical, HDMI, digital coax, or the analog 6 channel audio cables.

My sound and audio device si not workind how do i fix it?

Hello.........
1 - r u facing NO Audio/Sound issue...?
2 - is ur Volume Control not responding ?
3 - is ur Sound and Audio Device in Control Panel Grayed out ?
4 - Do u get a msg "No Active Mixer Devices Installed....when u try to open Volume Ctrl etc etc ?

if ur ans to any one of them is Yes...then u are being spammed by Microsoft....ur Sound Control IRQ is being frozen by a recent update from Microsoft....and no file update or any sound driver update can fix it, neither Microsoft is issuing any patch to fix it….
Full solution is available in my website (Support page)...it's quite simple process to fix it, and I am not charging any money, just trying to do some service.

This system has an inbuilt Audio controller (Intel's High Definition Audio). Installing the dirvers from the Dell drivers CD should fix this issue. (Try installing chipset + audio)

No Sound Issues

Hello!
Try the audio out. Run the audio to a receiver to see if the audio is there. If it is, then I'd leave it hooked up to the receiver and save yourself some money. If there is not any low level audio out then I'd fix the set. The only Sony set I've ever seen that was not worth fixing was a 32" model from the early 1990's that had bad picture tubes after only 5 years. I am a Sony factory trained tech. Good Luck!
