thank you, but I don't completely understand. I have used another dvd with this projector with the same results. How do I ground the projector? Right now, it is set up in a theater space and hung from the ceiling, the wires are then run to the booth where I have connected it to the dvd player. It is plugged into an outlet strip. Thank you.

Possible that the noise you seen( Video noise) is ccoming from the DVD player.
Most often the connecctingg RCA cabbles can be have poor shield orr damaged wires. So connect them tight with the ground tight. If the noise appears reverse the plug of the DVD after switching off.
If the fault wont clear, try to use another device on this port to confirm( another DVD player will be good.)
If the fault disappears then the noise is coming from the power supply of your player --possible failure of filter capacitorrs in the power supply, producing transcient voltage.
However if the other DVD also gives this noise, try to ground the projector, if there is no result then it is possible that the Video input socket has a ground failure in the board.( hope there is no issue with the PC)
If there is fault with all connections to the projector then it is possible that the board are not grounded or there is failure in power filtering. Check on power supply.
Hope these tips help you to make the tests.

If the cable is running a good length( Theatre setting) then it is possible that the input cable is picking noise. reduce length or connect a DVD close to the projector and test. if so change the wiring.

Infocus lp425z projector pushes latop display to left quarter of output image

Usually this is a hardware acceleration setting problem on the 'advanced' properties setting in your 'screen resolution' properties on your computer. Re-set the hardware acceleration to the 2nd setting and this should fix your issue. We have this regularly when we project on a double projector system and the one projector keeps shifting everything left until we adjust the hardware acceleration settings on the computer. No more issue.

HELP

jennyd8,

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking me to explain. If you are asking why it has to be locked or "frozen" in the DVD mode it is because that is the easiest way to effect the fix, ie, by wiring the new connection to the cable that comes from the DVD player into the motherboard. If your set is already "frozen" in the DVD mode then you are ready to start the fix. If you need to get it in the DVD mode just stick a DVD in the player and the set will go into the DVD mode. If this is not what you wanted clarification on then please be more specific as to what you are puzzled by.

Sony with diagonal lines

Is it a composite(yellow plug)video input? an HDMI input? What if you switch the output of the cable box to another input, Make sure its not the cable box first. If it happens on another input then the cable box or the connection wire to the tv from the cable box is bad.Good Luck Ps Please rate this thread
