Insert an unfolded paper clip into the little hole just under the door. It will eject.

Find a paper clip. Unbend the outside piece of wire so you have a 1 inch or so pice sticking out.

On the front of the DVD, look for a hole about the size of the paper clip. Stick the long piece you bent out into the hole and push slowly but firmly until the tray just barely pops out. Slowly pull the tray the rest of the way out and remove the disc.

I've seen this caused by putting a second dvd/cd on top of one already in the tray, actually fairly common when you cant see the dvd drive tray from the top.

Dvd drive door stuck

In case you're not able to eject the disc using the eject button, you can try right clicking on the CD/DVD drive under 'My Computer' and clicking on eject. If that fails as well, you can try to eject the disc manually by pushing a straightened paper clip or a pin into the tiny hole on front of the CD/DVD drive. You should be able to eject it using the last method.

Dvd door won't open for Sanyo DVW 6000

If you are trying to eject a disc, look closely at the front bezel of the drive, there is a small hole near the eject button, push a paper clip into the hole (straightened paperclip) and the tray will be ejected.

If the DVD door is stuck and will not open through ejecting via the icon in My computer, or the eject button on the bezel will not work, you likely have a faulty drive that will need to be replaced

The door won't open and I can't get the DVD out.

simply try to eject it...if not then the disc might have got damaged due to spinning at high speeds and got stuck in the c.d mechanism this type of problems are cammon when you use cheap, low quality discs which cannot withstand high speed spinning or tempreture ..so simply take it to a trained technician if you yourself are not that much qualified....if you are well then just take a screw driver and open the dvd player now eject the stuck disc manually do not plug it to power but try to find a small lever located just at the right side of the drive mecahnism in most of the cases ....after you have found it just push it to the opposite side and try to drag out the tray out ...this is actually manual eject option .....after you are done remove the damaged disc and throw it away and never use such type of discs ...as they can damage the unit ...clean the tray with a soft cloth to ensure none of the broken particles are lying .....now simply put back the cover and you are ready to enjoy dvd 's play

Disc will not eject

When you press the eject button do you hear the loading motor ? if yes! the loading belt is stretched or come apart preventing the tray from opening. To get the disc out is not an easy task, but one trick you can try is get a flat plastic tool "the wider the better" put it in the crevice on the top side of the door and as you pull "gently" press the eject repeatedly, If you are lucky it may pop open, if not a technician would be the next step.

Dvd player will not open disc, display lock

Sound like it either has one or two problems, the door is stuck and or the door eject motor has failed. Look in the front to the player for a small paperclip like hole, and use a paper clip to manual eject the and engage the loading mechanism usually located under the door for most cases. Check you manuals troubleshooting section for manually ejecting a CD..

A dvd is stuck in the drive. It resists all attempts at removal including the ''eject cd'' command in Open Firmware. Can I manually remove it?

The iMac (Slot loading) computer's disc eject mechanism is electrical instead of mechanical. To eject a CD-ROM disc at startup that contains system software, press the mouse button until the computer ejects the disc. If the disc does not contain system software, wait for the iMac to start up and drag the disc icon to the Trash.

If either of these steps fails to eject the disc, push the drive's manual eject button with a small, blunt object like a paper clip. This button is located to the right of the CD/DVD slot as shown in Figure 1. The computer must be turned on to eject a disc in this manner.

ht3007_1.gifFigure 1 Manual eject button

Once the disc is ejected, it extends just beyond its center hole so you can remove it from the drive. If the disc fails to eject, while holding in the paper clip, use another CD to gently push against the inserted CD. This gentle pressure may help to release the inserted CD.

Important: After ejecting the disc with the manual eject button, you must restart the iMac in order for the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive to work.

Disc Eject won't work after improperly inserting disc and since removing it.

I have an DZ-MV780 with the same problem. I found that the cover plate around the flash hot shoe only has a single screw. If you remove it and pull up the cover you gain access to the gear and lock mechanism. Hit eject and if necessary press on the white gears you see in front of the zoom switch. It should then cause the door mechanism to unlock and open.
