Question about Ingersoll Rand Type 30 Reciprocating Air Compressor 5 Hp, 80 Gallon, 230 Volt 3 Phase, Model# 2340N5
The piston rings may have not seated allowing oil to get by. The oil is then carried to the tank with the air. After enough run time and cycles they should seat. If not and this is a new unit I would call the 800 # on the unit and talk to customer service at IR.
