I would suggest soaking it in a 5 gallon buckets of water with a cup or so of bleach added. This will kill all the algae and release most of it from the pump. Follow with a through rinse with water and you should be good to go.

Davey XJ70 pumps bore water but flow dwindles when garden hose attached thus requiring pump to be turned off to stop burn out. Marc

possible it is a jet pump that has a return hose back to the foot valve to assist the pump to lift the bore water higher to work the pump
if that is the case ,when you turn on the tap on the pressure to the lift jet is reduced and so the pump cannot lift the water from the bore --it runs out of water
the fix here is to restrict the flow out of the tap so that jet pressure is maintained--- don't turn the tap on more than 1 turn
the reason is the lift height is too great ,indicating that the bore water level is lower than it normally is

F2 error code

An F2 error code means usually that you have a flow issue in your hot tub or you have a part malfunction. The best thing to do with an F2 error code is to go through a trouble shooting diagnosis. Start by cutting the power and letting the unit cool down and then do a reset of the equipment. If that does not fix your issue then do a water flow check, clean your filters, release air locks, remove debris from your intakes and returns. If your problem still remains look to replace or repair fuses, heater elements, or your circuit board. I hope this helps. http://www.thecoverguy.com/backyard-blast/f2-error-code-trouble-shooting/

My Little giant wgp-65-pw has tripped my gfi repeatedly. any idea why? No shorts in the cord are apparent

if a pump connected to a gfci outlet trips , then the gfci has detected a high resistance "shortage" inside pump and has disconnected power , this "shortage" can be nearly in detectable from human standards(shock) , but gfci picks it up
most likely pump seal has failed and water has gotten inside pump !! it only takes one drop to do this !!

Problems priming little giant pw-95 pump

since this is a waterfall pump , id try using a short piece of dish hose and see how it flows water then , if it works there then id say your demand to lift is too great and a larger pump will be needed to lift that high ,

also note on waterfalls id leave out the ck valve on dish pipe , i know it takes longer to reprime itself each time , but that reverse flow action cleans your intake screen each time it shuts off

Hello, Volut cracked overnight and leaked for several hours, drainig the pool down well over 1 foot. Next day, replaced volute, but now polaris is not functioning. Water is being pumped into the...

With a new volute the most likely causes for low pump flow is a restricted return line, a restricted suction line(or air leak), or there is something wrong with the impeller in that order. There is a filter screen in the return line that can cause the return line to be restricted if it is plugged. It is either in the wall fitting or in the tubing system close to the wall fitting. If it is dirty it means that debris is getting into the system. Typically an early indication that a grid in a DE filter has a leak in it is a plugged cleaner filter screen. The speed of the motor could be causing the problem but this is rare without causing an over current condition in the motor causing it to shut off. My suggestion is first check the return filter screen. If it is dirty then clean it out. Before connecting the return hose start the pump and check the flow by reaching down and manually putting your hand over the water stream coming out of the wall fitting. Turn off the pump and connect the cleaner hose without the filter screen installed. Disconnect the hose from the cleaner and hold the end of the hose while someone turns on the pump. Water should come out of the hose at a high rate. Next install the filter screen and the flow coming out of the hose should be about the same. Now try connecting it to the cleaner. I hope this helps.

I cleaned the screen, and the impeller is working however the little giant pump WGP is still not pumping water.

You may need to take the bottom of the pump apart and check to see if any thing has gotten through the screen and clogged the impeller.

Had Polaris rebuilt last summer. Then wouldn't

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

Have you cleaned or replaced the in-line filter found at the wall socket? How about the pressure valve found just after the wall socket...is it fully open, possibly allowing too much water to bypass the cleaner and return to the pool?

How about the main filter? If overall system flow is reduced because of a dirty main filter the booster pump would be 'boosting' lower than normal pressure so the net result at the cleaner is reduced as well. A cartridge filter is especially problematic here. It can look clean after rinsing it but after enough use the element needs to be replaced to restore original system flow.

Are there multiple return paths for water back to the pool that have valves? Can you throttle down a return to, say a spa for example, to force more water to the dedicated line for the cleaner?
