Possible that the keyboard interface IC is faulty. You can remove the keypad and check if the pad connector is faulty or the flexible cord to the motherboard is having a loose connection.
If not check with the help of the service centre to estimate and replace the IC.
You will be lucky if there is a power beak to this section.

Keyboard not working

If the keyboard fails, try an external USB keyboard. If that works, then the original notebook keyboard must be replaced. If you can't make an external keyboard work, then you have a bigger problem--probably the motherboard.

Hi I have an Acer Aspire 4740 and half the keyboard doesn't work, What can I do?

To determine if the keyboard is faulty or the keyboard controller on the motherboard is faulty, connect an USB keyboard to your notebook. If the keys on the USB keyboard works normally then the fault is the notebook's keyboard. This is easily fixed by replacing the keyboard.

Function keys don't work as assignment on each key

Please mention whether you are using Notebook or a Desktop Computer. If it is Notebook please let me know the make of the Notebook as there will be a driver for the Function Keys to work. If it is desktop computer try using another keyboard to confirm if the issue is related to hardware of the Keyboard. For both the Wireless Keyboard of the Desktop and Notebook Keyboard it is required to press the Fn Key and the Function Keys (F1 to F12) together in order work.

Only 3 different keys working on keyboard i am using on screen keyboard but control panel saying keyboard working properly

> keyboard working properly

This only means that the keyboard has been "detected" as "connected" and as being a keyboard device.

It's time to take the notebook to a qualified technician, to purchase and install a replacement keyboard.
