The dishwasher does not empty into the drainage system, but on the floor. It is usually the last rinse before drying. Any suggestions

Not sure if I understood the problem. Please confirm if the dishwasher is draining on to the floor at the end of rinse cycle. Normally the dishwasher would drain twice - once at the end of wash cycle and then at the end of rinse cycle.

So from what you have mentioned it is draining correctly into the sink hose at the end of wash but not at end of rinse. Do you actually hear the drain pump run at the end of the wash cycle?

Try with a simple rinse only cycle and see if there is any difference. I will need to understand the problem before suggesting a solution. Do you have an insinkerator in the sink drain?

Please provide the actual dishwasher model no. as well.

The rinse aid or the rinse aid dispensing cap could be the reason why your dishwasheris not fully drying your dishes. Without the rinse aid, the dishes will not shed water easily and will not dry properly. First, make sure the rinse aid chamber is not empty.

My dishwasher is leaking huge amounts of foam to the floor. This is what happened before I ran the cycle: I had mistakenly poured detergent into the "Rinse Aid" slot in the inner side of the dishwasher...

OK.... The rinse aid dispenser holds enough rinse aid for a lot of washes and dispenses very little each time. So you may nedd to have the dispenser emptied by a technician. If you take the door liner off you can see the back of the dispenser and maybe you can work out how to empty it. Holding the actuator in manually could allow the rinse aid dispenser to run out. Then wipe the tank dry with a towel. Putting high fat milk in the machine while it is rinsing will neutralise the foam. Just one cup will do. Good Luck.....T.

No water fill

This is a typical Anti Flood system activation. This system activates when water leaks onto the floor of the machiene due to a leak fault (pipe/hose clamp/ partly blocked pipe). The machiene automatically switches to pump out mode and stops water inlet. The anti flood system is a polystireen float / micro switch at the base of the machiene floor. Dry the floor and drectify the leak and it should work.

Our jenn-Air built in dishwasher smells foul and has since the first time we used it 4 months ago. we have tried bleach, vinegar, finish brand dishwaher cleaner, less soap, cascade soap, running every day,...

We had similar type of problem (as well as residual water always left in bottom) and after pulling out the dishwasher, found that the drainage tube was incorrectly installed by contractor. It was laying on the floor behind it with a only a slight rise to the garbage disposal inlet. I suspect this contributed to sewer odors as well a water back flowing into the dishwasher. I disconnected drainage tube so that it went up 24+" and then connected to garbage disposal (creates a loop that blocks sewer odors and back flow conditions). I also cleared out the filter at bottom of inside the dishwasher. The Use & Care Guide suggested using baking soda in China/Crystal mode for 10 minutes, opening the front door and letting it sit overnight. I repeated that for 3 nights and it did clear up the remaining odor. Don't know if this will help your issue or not. Good luck!

The wash cycle runs and runs.

Most diswashers have a complete cycle that lasts over an hour. The machine fills with about 1.5-2 quarts of water, rinses the dishes for a few minutes, then empties the water, then fills again with new water and rinses for a few more minutes, then empties. This is to get a good bit of the looser gunk off the dishes, and to soften up any other stuff that has dried on there. Then the machine fills a third time, the soap door pops open, and it washes for a much longer time to hopefully dissolve away pretty much anything left on the dishes. Then it empties, and does a rinse the soap off cycle, and usually a final cycle that rinses again with a little bit of rinse agent to help them dry quickly.

The whole process uses about 2 gallons of water.

Our Whirlpool KUDP01ILBS2 dishwasher isn't working like it used to. Dishes seem to be getting partially clean, they aren't getting dry at all and it seems they may be being rinsed/washed with dirty...

Heat that is retained in the dishes is largely responsible for drying in this dishwasher. Since plastics do not retain heat very well, they will not dry as well as glasses, ceramics or metal dishes. Rinse aid must be used so that the final rinse water will sheen off of the dishes to accommodate this drying process. The heater element at the bottom of the tub is used to add heat during the drying cycle to aid in this process as well. This model of dishwasher does not have any forced air circulation system. Here are some tips that may help you resolve your drying problem:
  • Make sure that you are using rinse aid. Failure to properly use rinse aid can prevent proper drying. Adjust the amount that is dispensed if necessary. Also, check to make sure that rinse aid level decreases over time indicating that it is being dispensed properly.
  • The NORMAL WASH and POT & PANS cycles heat the final rinse water up to 140 degrees F. Use these cycles to help the drying process.
  • Do not choose the air dry option. This option cuts off the heater element during the drying process. NOTE: The heater element is not turned on during the first 6 minutes of the drying portion of the cycle.
  • Do not overload the dishwasher. Load the dishes to allow for proper water drainage.
This dishwasher has a heater fault detection circuit. If the heater is not working, the control will detect the lack of increase in water temperature. The dishwasher will stop and the CLEAN light will blink seven times repeatedly. The dishwasher would not be able to be used until the problem is corrected and the control is reset.

My indesit DI620 isnt rinsing the contents properly

its the same water that rinses both sections just different arms, the one directly under the top basket usually cleans both cutlery and top basket. it could be a posibility that the arm itself is contaminated with waste that is too large to push through the holes and is now breaking up making a mess on teh glasses. (I have seen it before with melon seeds) remove the arm and rinse backward under a tap.
make sure that the salts are topped up as well this is very important if the salts run out you will not regenerate the resin beads which are used for water purification on the last rinse so this could also rinse with dirty water.
