Question about Fujitsu LPF 4800 Multimedia Projector

2 Answers

My LPF 4800 is about 5 years old..seldom used and the last time I used it satisfactorily was about 1 year ago. It was stored all this time in a storage room which can be pretty hot. I have just tried to use it today and found the picture had a a strong green-coloured tinge; much like what is shown on a failing old cathode ray tube TV display: My questions:: 1) Can this be repaired; and is it worth repairing 2) if yes, where can I go to if I am located in Bangkok, Thailand 3) I have also lost the remote controller that can turn off and adjust volume.. where can I get a replacement and the cost? Appreciate greatly your help.. Aaron

This is actually a problem i am seeing quite often with these projectors. If you ask me is it worth repairing id say no. Given the age and price to get it repaired. It would be more cost effective to just replace the unit. Its a mainboard problem and to replace the board it is. The value of the board on a quick google search is 183$ usd. An that is a used part so it would still have a chance of happening. if you would like a remote you can click here to purchase a new remote. So its up to you. An as far as it goes i cant really find a repair service in bangkok with any reviews that i can say could fix this. Although im sure there is places. Best to call locally. But then you could be looking at 400-500$ usd to get it fixed when you could buy a working unit for that price. if you need further assistance or have more problems please let me know.

Since it has been left idle for a year added to the fact that the proector is about 5 years old, I would not advise on a high cost repair/replacement as the models available today are better advanced.
However i would advice the following :
1, Remove the filters and clean them first, Remove and check for any dirt in the projection lamp and the inner sections, if so just wipe it clean.
2. Plug on the projector and let it work for about three hours in a stretch.
3. Repeat the process after the set cools down a bit and see if there is any change in the colouring.
4.Possible fault cannot be a erosion of values of electrolytic capacitors. So if the fault do not clear or show any signs of change, open the panels and check the main board for any visible leaks of electrolytics. If so replace all the capacitors in the suspected area.
5. Finally if there is no result, check around to see if you can salvage the main board from an old set that was dumped for failure of powerr supply/lamp or damage. Many times this is possible and can be economical, but pay only after testing on your set.
I hope these tips help you decide.

2005 lincoln aviator on fifth battery in nine years. Why?

Motorcraft Batteries?

In my Lincoln L/S, the first one lasted 3 1/2 years & was done under warranty

Second one lasted 5 years

Now that one failed two weeks ago at 20 months

In my case the battery is in the trunk & you can't find a battery with
a vent for that car & ford batteries are on odd size, just for their
design or group size,go figure

The Motorcraft Max is free for 3 years & pro rated for 100 months,
so not a bad deal.

IF you have a big enough battery tray & a basic looking battery,
try the NAPA Legend Batt 8465 750 CCA 65 BCI (group size)

They are from East Penn MFG in Penn & plants in other states & their own brand is DEKA in the private parts stores

What I like is that there are no caps on top & no leaking, just like
the old AC Delco I used for 40 years & got 7 to 9 years out of them

I have had a Napa in my 30 year old blazer for two year so far

The question, well I think it is part battery & part the load the electronics puts on the batteries

When I open the trunk & have only the trunk light on & with a
new or old battery, I only get 12.3 volts

I get the same thing on my scan tool data when I turn off the car
& then put the key on,yet all data is good KOEO or Engine Running.

Fujitusi multimedia projector about its lumens and prices

The Fujitsu LPF 4800 has 1500 lumens and was first sold back in 2001. Then 3 years later they stopped selling it. It cost about US$6000 when it first hit the market.
Hope that answers your question.

The batteries in my daughters leapfrog Tag only last for a very short time...any ideas?

It might be the batteries or the brand of batteries. My son has had the tag reader for over a year now and we seldom change the batteries. Leapfrog may be against it, but we use rechargable enegerizer batteries. I can count on 1 hand how many times I've changed the batteries in the last 18 months.

Dear Sirs, I am from Brazil. I bought a Tanita BC533 two years ago. I have seldom use it. Last time, it was three months ago. Today, I try to use it but the 0.0 does not come on the display, just...

Try to reset the electronics to factory defaults. If that does not work then the unit is no good. If no reset button check with the mfg for the protocol to do this.
