Question about Dewalt d55151 factory reconditioned emglo heavy - duty 2.5hp 4 gallon Electric hand carry compressor
Two things, either the pressure gauge is not set right, like on 35, off 120, etc, or the capacitor is shot already. The only thing it could be besides a blown motor. If you are sure it has juice to the top of the pressure gauge, try and close the points with a plastic comb or a piece of wood, if it doesn't run, check the reset button again. then go to a hardware store that can check and match up the capacitor. I don't think the motor is bad, unless it ran out of oil and seized up. Check it out, hope this helps.
