If this is a standard home phone, try another handset or handset cord. It it's wireless, it's the handset.

If you can't hear the dial tone, try substituting another phone to detect it. Also, if your Uniden phone is defective it can disable the dial tone when connected to the line.

THEY CANT HEAR ME

since the other person can hear you well, i dint think there is a problem with the battery.. there might be a problem with the network, or the handset.. its good that u check it out withthe manufacturer, if it has a customer cover.. good luck!!

try cleaning the mic' without openning the phone -
from the outside by an old touth brush...

if you can open the screws without any damage

Person on the other end of line can not hear me on my cordless GE phone

Try switching channels or frequencies on the phone. Also go to a different area of the house or outside to ensure its not a reception problem.
Last. Either replace the mic in the handset or purchase a new set.

Uniden 3315 Frequency Problem

Your phone has Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT), known as Digital European Cordless Telephone[1] until 1995, The digital filters will prevent interference from the bandwidths used by phones and wi-fi.
Your phone also incorporates dynamic channel allocation which switches frequencies when noise(static) is encountered.
Eventually your conversations take a wire route down the road. You are getting some "cross talk", an actual scientific term used to describe signal transmission from one line parallel to another by magnetic eddy currents. I would call the phone company and have them trace the problem.
