The only panel in the back that can be removed is at the bottom where the vent hose hooks up....the way to get to the belt is. remove the screws where the lint screen pulls out ...pop the top section of the dryer...their are 2 clips in the seam at the top of the dryer ....about 2 inches from the edge use a flash light to see them ...use a screw driver ....go between the horizontal seam at the top to pop ..then their are 4 screws holding the front of the dryer.2 at the top .2 at the bottom ..only loosen bottom screws do not remove them ..then the front of the dryer with the door can be removed ..now you can install the new belt ...remove the lower panel in the back to see motor ...the drum pully //tensioner this is where you put the belt on the pully ..let me know ..if you need more help....good luck../joe

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My GE Profile Harmony Dryer is no longer Heating

Does it get hot when you turn it on, and then never gets hot again while its running? On my dryer the solenoid broke, when the dryer was cold it worked and the dryer operated properly because the dryer and solenoid were cold and the solenoid wire was closed, when the dryer was hot enough the solenoid opened and the heat would not restart. the solenoid is a coiled wire which is used to open the gas valve.

Look in your Use and Care book on how to change the screen contrast. It has two settings. If changing the contrast setting doesn't do it, you need a new display board. GE Parts 1-800-626-2002

GE Profile Dryer will Not Spin

I opened the dryer panel and saw that one of the two belts that stabilize the drum had come off. It is a soft, sticky, rubbery substance and part of it and balled up so it was wedged between the drum and the dryer wall. I cut that portion off and it runs fine now.

Did you check the terminal block where the cord plugs up and ohm the wires in the main cord? If thats not the problem then you might have a bad computer and or inverter.
