This is Gateway Support, and the main support page for the GT5200 desktop computer,

http://support.gateway.com/s/PC/R/1009151/1009151nv.shtml

On this page I would like you to click on - User Guides

Now on 8510755 - Media Center User Guide

Go to Page 51. Opening Your Computer Case

(Go to the Page Number box, in the top header of the PDF file. {To the right of the blue Down Arrow) Put your mouse cursor in the page number box, and left-click once.

Type 51, then press the Enter key )

Follow Anti-Static Precautions, before you reach inside your unplugged from power, computer.

Looking at the back of the computer, the left side has a panel that removes.
There are two Thumbscrews to remove from the left side edge, of the case.
These screws hold the side panel in place.

Once these two thumbscrews are removed, the Side Panel slides towards the back of the computer.

You will see a preformed handle at the back of the Side Panel.
This is for your fingers to pull back on.

Should you have additional questions, please post in a Comment.

Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the AC power.
Look at the "back" panel.
You might see thumb-screws that hold the side-panels in place,
or you might see Philips-head ("cross") screws.
Or, you might see plastic "locks" -- slide them 1/4 inch to "unlock" the side-panel, and lift it off.

Or, look at the side-panel -- there may be a "lever" (like a "tab" on the top of a pop-can) that can be lifted to release the side-panel.

Or, older towers had a "one-piece" cover (like an upside-down "U") that needed to be unscrewed, pushed slightly towards the back ot the case, and then vertically lifted off.

not to sound mean or anything but if you need to take apart your shifter tower and you dont know where it is, you most likely dont know why you are taking off your shifter tower or what you are even going to do. What is it that you are trying to fix?

How do I take apart the New Bright Power Horse Tower Crane TC36 to fix the tangled strings inside?

WOO HOO I FIGURED IT OUT!!!! You have to pull it apart from the base up. First thing I did was take off the feet. If you look down the tower potion you can see a screw. Then u took off the tower. I figured out that if you just lined up the black square portion it would have come apart with just the one screw. Anyways now there is 2 more screws to get. 3 total to take the new bright tc36 tower crane apart. They are hard to see, but once the base is off you can get at em. Good luck everyone.

Two fire stations are 12 miles apart. Juliet, the ranger at tower A, notes that a fire has started at an angle of 42.3 from the line between the two towers. Romeo, the ranger at tower B, finds the angle is...

Hi ya,

Let x = distance between towerA and the fire
=> x = 12*cos(42.3)
=> x = 8.876 (correct to 3 decimal places)

let y = distance between towerB and the fire
=> y = 12*cos(61.7)
=> y = 5.689 (correct to 3 decimal places)

Here's a handy page on the use of SohCahToa - http://www.mathsisfun.com/sine-cosine-tangent.html

I hope this helps and good luck! If you have more questions - ask away!

Many Thanks Don.

My lasko tower fan gets power n wont blow air

The bearings on the motor are dry and need oil. It's really not made to be oiled, but you may be able to take it apart and get some oil to the bearings if you want to mess with it.

How to take apart a sharper image cd power tower?

Take a flat blade screwdriver and gently push in the center tabs of any CD slot. This might take a little while but once done the CD track will come apart and you will have access inside to the motor, gears and belt.
