Re: turns on all buy itself
When its on,do you see a blinking blue light emanating from the disc drive?if you do or if it does, you can try to go to the wiiconnect24 on your wii and set it to 'off'.chances are it's turned on,and if there's an incoming message, the blue light will start to blink and will only stop once you read the message.or you can also simply turn off the 'standby' feature of your wii.you can opt to do the two,in both instances, your wii will be totally disconnected to the internet unless you manually connect it but then,it won't be turning on itself automatically every time you receive a message or update.no guarantees, hope this helps.

Go into the menu options and see if it has a setting for alarm. It may be turning on at the same time every night to wake you up. It is also possible a neighbor has the same infrared code and is pushing their power button and it is turning your on.
well if it only happens on the one game this will happen if the game has any defects in it or the laser on your machine is about to go. First thing I would do is take the game into a video game or movie store and get them to resurface the game cheaper only like $4 and if that does not work the laser or drive need to be replaced in your unit nintendo has a great warrenty for their unit. OR if you have a Play N Trade Video game store or someone local that can fix it that would be the fix if cleaning and repairing the game did not work.
If you are happy with this awnser please thumbs up or write a Testimonial.
hum........ that is weird I'm not really sure how to fix that. But make sure all the cable from the wii are plugged in properly. For example: the red, yellow and white cables may look like they are plugged in but sometimes you have to push them in really hard to get them to work.
My wii does that sometimes in the middle of a game it just goes black so I just have to walk up to the TV and make sure they are im properly.
Is the dvd built into the unit? Im not sure.
If your comfortable with the wiring behind the unit I can try and help you out.
Im guessing your just using plain cable that your running to your tv. If so you should have a audio output in the back of your tv (the red and white one) there should be a RCA cable into this output (best buy would have installed it already). follow this cable down to the back of the Reciever and it should be plugged into the input for TV.
Your Consols are a little more difficult. They can run them through your tv or bypass it. Ill tell you how to put them through your tv so that the sound from them will only come when the tv is on (not sure when else you would need it). The back of you consols you will have the 3 RCA's (red, white, Yellow) plug them into the back of your tv in the input ports... Playstation to 1, Wii to 2. There should be all the jacks needed to do this (if you have a newer tv). Now when you turn on your tv and make sure the reciever is turned to TV your should get your sound. Try the gaming consols, they should both work (you will need to switch the Tv to video input, usually by the source button).
If you still get no sound but pictures try turning your volume up on the tv, if you have volume there check your settings on the tv for the volume output...some brands allow you to mute this.
Hope this helps
