Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional
The 25-character license-key that was used to install XP Professional was detected by Microsoft as being illegally copied from somebody to whom the license-key was originally issued.
If you bought the computer from a computer-store, and they installed Windows, then they are guilty of violating their licensing-agreement with Microsoft.
If a "friend" of yours installed Windows onto your computer, then it is they who are guilty of "software piracy".
