    Sonia,

There are software downloads that will clean up your computer and you can do it yourself.

http://www.freeware.com and other sites have free downloads of spyware and adware removal, registry cleaners, virus scanners, and general programs to speed up your computer. Most of these programs are self explainitory, but if you have specific questions, let me know.

My computer crashes a lot

Have you noticed the issue after updating or installing any new applications on the computer?
Issue can also happen if you have a virus.
As a simple solution, try restoring the computer to an earlier date to which it was working fine
You can also download free Malwarebytes Antimalware and install it and run a scan to get rid of the viruses.
It is time you do a diagnostic check/tune up on your computer.

You can get in touch with any online tech support people for a free diagnostic check, once they do it and finds an issue, then for rectifying only you need to pay if you wish.I have had the similar kind of issue and was not aware what to do. While searching the web, I got the info about TheBestPcDoctor and I contacted their support. My issue is fixed and the computer is running fine now. If you need you may also contact them @
www.thebestpcdoctor.com or via 877-407-9229

Now my computer is running 3 times faster than it was before.

Tip

How to make your computer work faster

  1. Eliminate computer viruses as well as spyware. In many cases, viruses and spyware programs cause computers to run slowly. This is the reason that you can't overestimate the necessity of programs that combat viruses and spyware.

If you do not install them, your computer will be more likely to experience one of many possible problems with its performance.

Run these software programs regularly so that viruses and spyware can be immediately detected and removed from your system. Also, make sure that these programs are always up to date so that your computer is protected from the latest versions of viruses and spyware.
  2. Step 2Clean the registry. Computer start up and shutdown processes become sluggish if the registry becomes corrupted. To make your computer run faster, its registry needs to be kept clean using registry cleaners that can be downloaded from the Internet.
  3. Step 3Defrag your desktop computer. Defragmenting or defragging the hard drive of your computer regularly can make a huge difference in its speed. This will fix performance malfunctions, which are often the result of fragmentation in the operating system.

To defrag the hard drive, access the Disk Defragmenter program in the Start menu.
  4. Step 4Remove temporary files from your computer. Every time you use your computer, it stores temporary files in your hard drive. And once the hard drive is cluttered with many temporary files, your computer speed will surely be affected. Delete the files by going into the Start menu and opening up the Disk Cleanup application.

I would do a very thorough virus scan. You may have a program affecting the uninstalling process. Happens all the time

Computer has viruses which might be why it has a the blue screen

Try entering safe mode and doing the virus scan:
  • Switch on your PC
  • Before the Windows Logo screen appears press F8 to get the startup options menu
  • Chose Safe Mode
  • Once your computer boots, run AVG and let it remove all the viruses. Reboot and it should go into Windows as normal. You might have to rerun the scan a few times to get rid of everything but it should do the job.

Okay, I check my email and answer it. Then either when I forward OR go to something else (i.e., internet), or turn my computer to control panel, or shut down, it deletes all the emails in my inbox .. some...

well..i am sure those are not deleted..there is a setting for leaving them open for viewing..in the receive tab..make sure that it is set for leaving them open..that should do it..

Computer viruses

Download and run avast free anti-virus software. They give a 60 day demo or you can register on the website before you download and they will Email you an unlock code, schedule a boot time scan and let it run its course. after the first virus is detected choose option 2 to delete all (automatically).

Ok, basically nero is asking you to run chkdsk to see if there is any corruption in your system files and is generally a good fix for things like this.

If you don't know how to run chkdsk, follow the steps below.

Click Start -> Run

In the box type cmd, then press enter

At the commad prompt type cd \, then press enter

Then type chkdsk /f

If you are prompted to schedule CHKDSK to run the next time the computer restarts (because CHKDSK may be unable to gain exclusive access to the drive under Windows), type Y then enter

Type exit

If you have had to schedule the chkdsk ro run, restart your PC and chkdsk will run whilst your PC is starting up.

Please let me know if this fixes the issue.

High Speed and viruses

Slowness can be caused by viruses.

Run a virus scan and see what comes up.
If there are viruses on the computer, you may want to consider Restoring your computer to factory settings.

But before you do that
Run a virus scan; go to Symantec and run it or download AVG free.

If you decide to restore to factory settings, I will be glad to help you. Understand, you will loose everything on the computer, and you will have to run all your programs again, set up your network connection and email. Very time consuming.

Problems with computer breaking down all the time

Since you are renting it, you have lost authority to fix it yourself or even having someone else do it. You should contact Radio Rentals and get a different one. Chances are, the computer should be formatted and a new operating system installed fresh. If Radio Rentals gives you permission to modify or install software, then there are many options to try for free so help repair any viruses and spyware. Avast Antivirus is good and free, Comodo Firewall is better than the Windows version and is free, Spybot Search And Destroy is free and helps with spyware. Remove programs that are no longer needed and defragment the hard drive. Use Eusing Free Registry Cleaner to keep the registry clean. The fun is about a computer to me is troubleshooting them. If you need any further assistance, please ask.
