Question about Cameras

1 Answer

The ring around the shutter button which controls zoom is very hard to move. We had another of these cameras and it was very easy to use. Why would this "stick"?

Hi,
I need model number and brand info of your camera to find out possible reason of problem however, zoom ring might got any dust inside that is causing it jammed or it got broke, in either case, it needs to be replaced because these parts are not repairable.
Thanks.

Spray canned air to remove any dust inside the ring so it can work smoothly and if that does not help then shutter button along with zoom ring will be replaced in nearest Canon service center.
    Thanks.

I have a canon powershot sx 130 is and I can't figure out how to zoom in I tried everything and instead it just keeps taking pictures.

It's near the shutter button where you press to take a photo. It slides each way. If it's broken and you need to have it serviced, this is the place for the Canon's: www.CamerasAndParts.com They are the best if you need a repair for one of the Canon models.

When I zoom in to take a picture I get it focused I hit the button and the picture shows up not zoomed?

How are you zooming in? If you are using a button to zoom, that is to check the focus: it's just enlarging the image for your convenience during focusing. In order to get a zoomed-in image when press the shutter button, you need to adjust the zoom ring manually on the lens barrel before taking the picture.

Cant find a zoom button on my samsung PL221 10 x

That's because it's not a button. It's the ring around the shutter release button. There's a little grip at the front of the ring. Push it one way to zoom out, the other way to zoom in. See the illustration on page 13 of the manual.

How to use the mc-dc2 how many buttons do i push to operate

There's only one button on the MC-DC2. Just plug it into the appropriate jack on the camera. You don't need to change any settings on the camera.
The button on the MC-DC2 now does exactly what the shutter release button on the camera does. The only exception is when the shutter speed is set to bulb. In this case the shutter remains open as long as the button is held down. There's a hold ring around the button on the remote; press the button and slide the ring in the direction of the arrow to hold the button down. Slide the ring in the other direction to close the shutter.

How do I activate digital zoom on my canon S3IS

I believe there is a ring around the button the shutter button (the button you press to take the photos. Your sort of push it left or right (near or far). The digital zoom should activate after it goes past its optical zoom range. Push it only slightly to slow down the zoom process.
