Hi,
It opens because of the excess air pressure inside when the door closes... the door should hold tighter then that but if it is sealed very well the air acnnot escape fast enough and causes the pressure increase that blows the other door open...

We bought used fridge Inglis/Niagara Model ICT85000 Mfg06/93 when we close fridge door freezer door opens. When we close freeze door fridge door opens. This is a top freezer. Is there a repair

Inglis are a budget make. The cold for the fridge comes from a vent from the freezer. Don't let the door slam. You must close them gently.

My amana bottom freeze refridgerator door in opening a little when the top door is closed. do i need to adjust the screws or is it something with the seal?

raise the front legs so the machine is tilted back a little, this will help the top door close easier, also most likely you have nothing heavy on the door itself, all a fridge does is move air,the evaporator coil gets cold and the evap. fan blows cold air from the freezer into the fridge side and the air keeps circulating, when you shut the top door it's pushing the air down into the freezer and popping the door open, like i said raise the front legs a little and put stuff on the freezer door so it has some wieght to it and it won't pop open.hope this helps salde

Fridge door squeaks, freezer door bumps

Slacken the three screws, align the door and tighten the screws up again. Try not to lean on the door when it's open.

Freezer door pops open

when you close the fridge door you create pressure in the fridge and the freezer door may pop open, close it more softly. or there may be stuff pushing against the inside of the freezer door

The freezer door pops open when the refrigerator door is closed. A service man already looked at it and leveled it, but it still is a problem. The freezer door has a tight seal when used on its own.

It does this because as you close the door, the air pressure goes to the freezer somehow, maybe through a venting that vents cold air from the freezer to the fridge. The resulting pressure in the fridge, goes to the freezer, and opens the door.

Freezer door wont seal and stay closed

Your pushing air from the fridge part over to the freezer door when you clos it,the only thing i can suggest is make sure that the seal (which is magnetic) is clean and not falling apart, inspect it all around the door, and when closing the door i would close it gently.

Hope this helped.Let me know by rating me or

Fridg not cold

your story is very odd but likely nobody is messing with the door switch hwen you moved , or the wires could have shorted out. normally, the door switch, when you open a door would switch on a cabinet light and turn off the blower. in your case, its the reverse, as you open a door, the blower runs and if you close the door, the blower stops. im not sure if you can figure out which pair is the normally close and which one is the normally open on the door switch in order to swap them or you may rplace the door switch.

Doors not sucking closed

This is not a fault but it is a design problem that cannot be resolved, the problem occurs because between the fridge and the freezer there is an air duct to allow the freezer air to be blown into the fridge however when you close the fridge door this forces the air back into the fridge, the result is that it is forced into the air duct and pressurises the freezer or visa versa and pops the door open to allow the compressed air to escape. soory no cure to this one.
