If a machine is running slow, there is usually 3 reasons...
1) Remove all spyware using a program
2) Run an anti-virus like AVG Free Anti-Virus to clear any viruses
3) Add some memory to the machine

5 Routines to Speed up Your PC

1. Avoid Crowded Desktop

Do you have thousands and thousands of tiny little icons filling up your desktop? Each time our operating system loads it uses the memory to load all the files in the desk top; every time you refresh your computer it also steals your time to reload all the files in the desktop. So my word of advice is ‘KEEP YOUR DESKTOP CLEAN’. Keep only the important shortcuts in the desktop, keep your files in other folders say for example My Documents or in other Drives, etc.

2. Viruses, Malwares and Spywares

Every computer is prone to malwares; when it comes to windows machines they are more vulnerable. Regularly check your computer with a good antivirus software and an anti spyware software (Avast and Ad-Aware are two good free software for this purpose). Also using a firewall will help you prevent some attacks. Performing Regular Virus and Malware checks can help your computer stay healthier and thus improve performance.

3. Unused Programs

Most of us install programs for short period usages. If you have any program that you are no longer using, remove the unwanted programs (Revo Uninstaller is good software that can help you remove unwanted programs effectively). This can help you increase your computer’s performance.

4. Remove Programs from Startup

Have you ever noticed tons of tiny little icons in the right end of your task bar? They can cause your machine slow down dramatically because many of those programs start with your operating system and thus use the valuable resources we need to perform our activities.
You can remove them: Go to Start Menu -> Run and type msconfig and go to the startup tab. Remove all the programs you don’t want to start with your windows by de selecting them.

5. Optimise your hard disk performance

With time the hard disks get filled with fragmented files, corrupted files and temporary files, etc. This can cause your system to perform really slowly. If you don’t regularly check your hard drive for errors and defrag it then it can be deadly.

If you can follow these five suggestions regularly then you will have a stable performance from your pc. Stay tuned for other tips.

Why is my lemon P7 is functioning too slow

your System may be slow due to following reason
- Too many programs running at startup or in the background
- Data Corruption, hard disk fragmentation
- Missing Windows updates or outdated drivers
- Not enough hard drive space, too many unused programs
- Left over programs, old cached and temporary files
So Follow these steps to fix computer problem::
- Delete all the temp files
- Remove unused programs
- install latest drivers from the manufacturer site
- Install and run antispyware software
- Free up wasted space with Disk Cleanup tool
- Defragment your hard disk drive
If you are unable to perform above tasks then use a single utility tool like PC Fresher that will fix windows errors that cause of system slow

The hard drive files are not recognisable and threre are no file in my documents or my Local disk drive and my memory is full how do i fix this.

Ok I assume you get a virtual memory is low balloon at the bottom of the screen? If so then this is due to insufficient RAM to run the amount of programs or resource hogging programs like the newer internet explorer can be. If not and you have a low disc space balloon next to the clock then what you can do is first do a disc clean up which is found in start all programs accessories system tools disc cleanup. It make take a long time if your hard drive is filled with a bunch of temp files as well as old files and Once it is up check everything and let it clean up all of the un-necessary things. This will take awhile as well. Once it is complete I would suggest you do a disk defragment as after deleting a lot of files it can cause things to get fragmented and slow your computer down. this can be done by going to start all programs accessories system tools and disk defragment. You can analyse the disk if you want to see how fragmented it is before defraging as it will tell you if it really needs to be defraged or not. And that is about it. If you need further assistance just comment to say if this helps.

Need to clean every thing thats making computer run slow

If your hard drive is too full, then your computer is going to perform slower. Delete old files which are not required.
Remove programs that you are no longer using. Delete temporary files.
Empty your recycle bin. Right click on Recycle Bin. Click Empty Recycle Bin>Yes.
Run an error check on your computer. The error check can remove errors that slow down your computer. If you are using Windows, you can do this by clicking Start>My Computer. Right click on your hard drive (typically c:) and then select Properties. Click the Tools tab>Check Now and then Start.
Defragment your computer. A fragmented computer runs less efficiently. By defragmenting your computer, your computer will operate in a more logical and faster way.
Clean up your registry. You can purchase software that will fix any registry errors on your computer.
Perform this computer maintenance on a weekly basis.

Data saved disappears when computer is rebooted

HARDLY SCAN YOUR PC FOR ANY VIRUSES. I RECOMEND AVIRA ANTIVIRUS OR AVAST. THEY WILL IDENTIFY IF THERE IS ANY VIRUS THAT STEALS OR EAT YOUR DATA.

PERHAPS, RUN DISC/HARD DRIVE FRAGMENTATION AND DISK CHECK UP TO SEE IT IS WORKING PROPERLY BECAUSE IT DOES SEEM TO HAVE SAVED YOUR DOCUMENTS ONLY TO FIND IT HAS SOME ERRORS ON IT.

SIMPLY RIGHT CLICK YOUR LOCAL DISC ON MY COMPUTER AND FRAGMENT AND RUN DISC CHECK UTILITY.

THANKS,

Laptop running very slow and choppy

Go to start, run and type in MSCONFIG. Go over to the startup tab and remove the check mark for everything that you recognize as a program. This will eliminate the programs from running at startup, this should help out a lot.

Secondly, run a virus check.

Third, go to my computer, right click on the C: drive and go to properties, click on disk cleanup. After that do the same thing but this time go to the tools tab and click on error checking, click both boxes.
After that is complete use the defrag button to defrag the system.

Let me know how it works out for you.
