How do I adjust the chain on a meridian bicycle?

Not sure what you mean by adjust. Do you need to shorten or lengthen the chains length? If so then you will need a special chain tool.

If you are simply trying to align the chain better, then here is a link to Schwinn where they have owners manuals, assembly instructions and more on your bicycle. Even some cool videos.

Im trying to take the chain off my 1969 schwinn stingray 20" fastback 5-speed bike and i cant find a master link, how do i get it off, please help, thanks Duane

Hi, if there is no removable link on the chain then you must use a chain break. This tool is basically a miniature press. They can be purchased at any place that sells bike accessories. You simply place the chain into the groove of the tool and align the press with a pin from the chain link. Then, slowly crank the press until the pin from the chain pops out. Installation of a new chain is the opposite of the removal process. Good luck.

Chain slipping after changing tire

You may have knocked the gear derailleur when fixing and re-fitting the rear wheel. This can knock the derailleur out of whack slightly and will need proper adjusting by your local bike shop.
