Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
Hi, my daughter has a DS lite in pink ( age 7) When I plug the charger into it the red light comes on for a second then goes off, this happens every time I plug it in. The DS wont turn on and nothing else happens. I no its not the charger as I have a spare for her which I have also tried and the same thing happens with that. Any ideas will be great. Thanks in advance Ian.
I had the same problem. You can take it in to the store you bought it at, and see if they can fix it. If they can't, then if you still have the warranty, you can replace yours for free. If you don't, you will have to buy a new DS lite.
I hope this will work.

Actually chances are the battery connection is either dirty or theres a blown capacitor on the ds motherboard I just took one apart with the same issue and found a burn in the motherboard just a quarter of a inch way from the battery housing.
other then that you can always try taking it to someone that can take it apart to verify the burt capacitor on the mainboard
online the motherboard will run you about 70 bucks, so almost cheaper to just get a new ds cause add shipping to that and you mine as well.
I still have to run a few tests I have some working motherboards so I will test them in the unit and see if the problem is fixed but remember. its only man made.
