Re: Bluetooth (service not supported) HELP!
Your blackberry might need an upgrade in software you bought on ebay
take it to your local retail outlet or phone provider and have them do an upgrade in the system they have
#2 i would never buy these kinda phones from ebay one of 2 things they could be stolen or just be a piece of ........
unlocked phones are usually clones once you put your service on it they have the code to copy your info and make your phone account become out of wack with out ragious charges
they got you good
only by these kind of phones from certified dealers they have the quality and guarenteed no cloning

just to help a lot of people out, the 7290 can ONLY use its bluetooth capabilities to connect to hands free headsets. i have had so many ask why it wont connect to pc via bluetooth or get ringtones from other phones. sorry guys but without a firmware update thats the way it is.
Support for Bluetooth headsets is the real innovation here. Though BlackBerry devices have packed in phones for years, holding them up to your head has always felt and looked awkward. Because the 7290 paired easily with our Logitech and Nokia Bluetooth headsets, that's now much less of an issue. Unfortunately, the 7290 doesn't support voice dialing, so you'll still have to pull out your BlackBerry in order to dial. There's also no support for the Bluetooth dial-up modem profile and no Bluetooth file transfer. Phone calls are clear, although there's no speakerphone.
The 7920 does not have a speakerphone.
Go to BlackBerryMEP.COM and buy an unlock code specified to your BlackBerry, they will send you the unlock code along with a fully detailed guide on how to input the code using your BlackBerry's keypad .
Like you being with T-mobile, I bought a cingular phone off ebay that wasn't unlock. My sims didn't work either. My network just said call Cingular which is now AT&T and they gave me the MEP code to unlock it. Beware, you need to confirm all of your information from your network before they will help you.
did any of you get a solution? I bought my phone on ebay and it was unlocked, however when i got it the bluetooth would always say service not supported! PLEASE HELP IF YOU FOUND A SOLUTION! I miss bluetooth!
