I don't think you will ever get a answer,I have been trying for months now to resolve this problem.
I have called Hayward direct in the USA and all they do is fob you off with some suppler of theirs down in the south of the UK.

Think they are only interested in selling there product with absolutely no after care.

DON'T BUY TIGERSHARK .

Sound gets real staticy and cuts out a little

It sounds like the cord has gotten some stress at some point and damaged the wire inside. Start at one end with your fingers (while on) bending it back and forth, and work your way down the wire until you affect it, that should locate the bad spot. The only fix then, is to cut the wire, peel back the outside coating and remove the bad spot and put back together with black tape. (Or heat shrink tubing would be a better and much neater job) There should only be 2 wires inside the coating, it may have 2 inside the shielding (outside braid that goes around everything) This outside wire should be connected to ground to keep out static noise.

My barracuda stays in the deep end and will not move to the shallow end of the pool

You probably just need to redirect the returns in the pool. If they are angled right (or wrong) they will get a current moving in the pool and cause the cleaner to go to one spot and keep it in just that area of the pool.

I have a 9-volt Strait-Line Stud Finder with 3 red LEDs and 1 green LED at the top end to mark the Stud Edge. I would appreciate it if I could receive step-by-step instructions on how to use the stud...

I suspect there are several models but I have one model. 1) Turn on the unit (if the green light is blinking replace the battery). 2) Calibrate the unit by holding it flat against the wall for 5 seconds until the red light goes off and the beep stops. Make sure you do not move the unit during the calibration or position the unit over a stud (try a spot 6-12" away from the corner of the wall - most studs are on 16" or 24" centers and the wood/metal stud is 1 1/2" thick). If the unit keeps beeping or the red light doesn't go off during the calibration, move the unit sideways 5-8" in case you are above a water pipe or other reason for "too deep a surface" for the unit.

3) Do not lift the unit off the wall or you will need to recalibrate it. Slide the unit across the wall. When the upper red light comes on and the beeping starts, that marks one edge of the object in the wall (stud). Continue until the red light goes off and the beeping stops. Mark the other edge of the stud by moving the stud finder in the opposite direction and marking when the red light comes on and the beeping starts. The center of the two marks is the center of the stud for securing anything to the wall.

If the beep persists over a 6" range, I'd check if you have any old cast-iron pipes or a door/window that was relocated in that wall. Repeating the test in a few places vertically along that spot of the wall will tell you there is a consistent large object in that location. Neither a filled in window or door will run the entire length of the wall but you could be finding the headers (the vertical framing of the opening would probably be ~4-6" wide (double or triple stud depening on the needs of the house design)).

I hope this helps.

(on another stud-finder that I borrow, you press the buttons on the right and left side to turn it on. Calibrate by holding it to the wall for a short while and then slide it across the wall. Note when the top red led lights and the beep starts. Repeat in reverse to find the other side of the stud.)

Kreepy cleans the deep end great. It cleans the walls and bottom but will not venture up the slant to the shallow end

There are several things that could cause these automatic pool cleaners to have this problem. First, check the return line water flor and redirect it if necessary. Also, make sure that the hose is long enough to cover the entire pool without difficulty. Also, check the hose balance to make sure that it is correct.

Zodiac baracuda wont go to shallow end of pool

If you can, adjust your intake valves so more of the suction is coming from your vacuum and less from your skimmers. This will allow the the vacuum to climb out of the deep end.

Threatening shut down

It is probably your internal battery and needs replacement. There is a menu function to not shutdown when loss of power (under battery preference, after screen save). If you don't use the battery, try this.

HP PCS 2510 Scanner module keeps running

Please follow my steps:
1. Make a ring, which is 5mm high and 1/3 cut so that it can be mounted at the far right end of the rail bar where the scanner module sliding back and forth. This can help get the none-stopping scanner out of the trap!
2. Do the Semi-Reset opreation. Then you can see the healing result!

Not sure if this will help but these machines are ment to be used in one direction not back and forth like a vacuum cleaner. You should start in one spot and pull towards you slowly with the trigger depressed it is designed to spray scrub and pick up the solution all in one pass by going back and forth you are pushing the rubber across dry parts of the floor and it will make noises.
