Its is a switch slide or is a press and hold button
and if at anytime you disconected it before it was safe to disconnect when downloading to mp3 off comp you might have corrupted the files
did you ever try upgrading the software in your mp3 it still has microchip in it and it does need latest software that keeps it functioning properly
that could be it

I have charged up my wharfedale mp3 slimline player from computer for 14 hours and the battery icon is full when i take it off the computer it will not switch on it will only work when connected to...

This is a typical indication of a bad battery. Will show full charge after several hours of charging but on loading the battery ( turning on the device ) it will go flat immediately or after a few seconds. You have not mentioned how old is the device. The normal lifespan for a rechargeable cell is 3 to 4 years or 500 recharges from the date of manufacture, whichever comes first.

Problem with wireless conection between Samsung SWA-4000 and Samsung home theatre.

turn the main dvd player off, and press 0,1,3,5 on your remote, then turn on the player and the rear wireless receiver at as close to the same time as you can. should then light up the blue "link" light permanently.

My Philips SA2628/37 mp3 player will not be recognized by my computer and when I turn it on all it says is PHILIPS. What's wrong?

try this, right from the manual:

How do I reset my player?
To do a reset, extract and reinsert the battery.
If none of the above works, then you may have to use the Device
Manager to recover your player:
1. Launch the Philips Device Manager at Start > Programs > Philips Digital Audio
Player > SA26XX > Philips SA26XX Device Manager on your PC.
2. Press and hold the button while your player is connecting to the PC.
3. Keep holding the key until the Philips Device Manager acknowledges your player and goes
into recovery mode.
4. Click the Repair button and follow the instructions given by the Device Manager.
5. After the player has been repaired, disconnect it from your PC and re-start.

PACKARD BELL CD/RADIO/MP3 PLAYER. MODEL PB OP 10

This is not for connecting an MP3 player, but rather for playing MP3-CD's. Using your computer and a CD burner, you can burn a CD with up to about ten hours worth of MP3s on it. The procedure for creating the disc varies depending on your burning software. In Nero, for example, you would select "Music" and then "MP3 Disc" and then select the songs you want to put on the disc. For other software you just select "burn a data disc" and then select the MP3 files you want.

Once you have a CD full of MP3s, put it in the Packard-Bell stereo's CD player, and you will be able to play all the MP3 files that are on the CD. THe advantage, of course, is being able to put ten hours on one CD instead of only 80 minutes.
