Possible fault in the audio output power IC.
Release the main rail voltage to the unit to confirm the fault .
Replace the IC, before conneccting the speakers, check for any shorting.
Remove connectors carefully so as not to damage.
Use a good desoldering tool.

Double check the speakers cables and the connections on both ends. Most of these cases a cross-wire is the problem. Take care at the thin wires; maybe on of them is in cross -wire connection with the other. In case you are sure about the cables check the amp without cables; it has to be working. If not the problem is "hardware" inside the amp. But don't imagine bad things.
Start up with the cables and in case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply.
If you are satisfied, accept my solution. Please consider leaving a 4-thumbs rating; I'd appreciate it greatly.

Thanks and regards

Have you tried to start up the amp without speakers (no speakers cables connected) at all? What is the result?

Waiting clarification, don't hesitate to post.

    Thanks and regards

Protective mode how do i fix it

sounds like you will have to get the audio ics replaced. it would be better for you to take it to someone with the tools to repair it. unless you have a solder kit handy..:)

Hxd7 protect

Don't buy a stereo that prints up 'PROTECT MODE' and then does not tell you how to cure it. This is a good way of getting people to buy a new one only live and learn do not buy the same manufacturer again. I have a nice just out of warrenty JVC that when I switch it on sits there grinning at me with 'PROTECT MODE' showing. Yes I have entered cash protect mode and decided I am not going to buy another JVC.

PROTECT MESSAGE

Most likely he has a couple of the connectors crossed. It is going in protect mode to keep it from damaging the internal electronics. Open it back up and double check all connections. then let me know.
