Swintec 2600-My cartridge is stuck on the left side -making a continuous beeping noise-how do I fix it

Look for debris in the area left of the printhead, anything that stops it from going all the way to the side frame.

When I turn my typewrite on, it immediately makes a high pitch beeping noise. Will not type? what is my problem? Thank you Felicia

Check the flex cable harness that moves as the carriage goes back and forward left to right.
Possible one or more of the wires have broken there.

When you try and type all Caps it types anything but the key you hit

Check to see if the pitch selector is in PS this will cause wrong printing. You might also check to see if you are in KB ii Code 5

AE 740 types different characters than typed on keyboard

make sure your printwheel is latched securely, turn off t/w, press and hold the margin release button while turning power on to do a reset/self-test. if characters are not right on self test, then you might have a problem with either the carriage or main board.

Pitch Beeping

make sure the printwheel is locked in place, and the cover is closed. otherwise it is probably the main board or power supply. take to a repair shop for evaluation
