It sounds like the battery is dead. You can order a replacement battery direct from Nintendo at http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=108205

My touch pad worked fine last night, but now it doesn't! Help!

well, first you should see if it needs charging. Then turn on the ds and touch the little ds on the bottom of the screen. Go to the calibrate or the thing that is on the right side of the person. Try thr test and dont stop it until its over. Try touching the screen again but if that doesnt work call nintendo which the number is in the manual or find it at www.nintendo.com. See if that works.

DS is stuck in charge mode when plugged in.

Your DS may have a problem reading the battery gauge, and the DS will only let the charger do its thing for a period of time. Then, if it is still connected, it may burst more charge in. This means that your DS is acting up, and your battery may have a rare (and not harmful to the DS) malfunction.

My Nintendo DS won't stay on.

try charging it, or if that doesnt work, the battery might be in incorrectly, or one of the battery pins is broken or bent.if the battery is in incorrectly try putting it in again.if one of the pins is bent try carefully bending it back.if one is bro0ken,you might consider a new DS.there could also be forien material in thew battery compartment, in which case you would extract.if none of these solutions work,it might either be the battery(in which case you would buy a new one)or an intenal problem (which would lead me to consider a new DS)

My nintendo ds wont turn on. The battery is fully charged and when plugged in the orange light flashes once then turns off. Does anyone have a soulution?

First, you can try swapping batteries with a known working unit and battery. Failing that, go to Nintendos website & plug in your DS serial # to check if it's still under warranty (1yr). If so, mail it back to Nintendo they will usually fix for free. If older than 1 year, they may still fix it, but you need to call the toll free number & arrange that. That usually costs around $50 dollars. Their are 2 fuses inside the DS (not easily replaced at all)! that may be blown.
Good luck!

Nintendo ds lite will not turn on, when trying to charge the orange lite blinks once.

after researching this for a while, i heard that it is because the fuses have blown inside the ds. you can try to fix it but it is risky.
good luck!
