Re: Replaced Toner faxes are black
Try a internal printout function6-4-start-
let me know how that looks. if that looks fine you have a static build up on the scanning glass.
if thats the case. lift the front pannel you will see 2 green plastic arms, pinch those towards each other and lift it wont come completly out, " if you see the toner cartridge you've gone to far" ... tilt the white plastic and wipe down the glass under neith this should fix your problem

your toner has nothing to do with sending/receiving faxes. If you can print to the xerox...something is wrong with the software.. delete and re-install software..Xerox website is useless check the black sensor that dangles into the paper tray. wiggle it up and down, ahten resintalled the tray
The Brother machine will not print if the message "Toner Empty X" ( X =C for Cyan, M for Magenta, Y for Yellow and K for Black) is displayed on the LCD. The empty toner(s) must be replaced in order to continue printing. Incoming faxes will be stored in the memory until the toner(s) is replaced.
This maybe totally independent of the fax machine but rather the printer part of it, what type of fax machine, if it's an all in one printer fax scanner, then it's time to add toner or you may have a printer head problem, what machine do you have?
1- you did not say what machine this is for, kind of hard to help if we don't have enough info.
2- this is probably for a fax/printer/copier
they have a closed toner unit that you replace
If you replaced it ( assuming you did because the TONER light is on, and it will not copy as long as it does not detect a new cartridge) the new one is most likely defective or depending on your model it may require to to be reset in the menu.
