Question about SanDisk Sansa e200 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Volume I recently purchased the Sansa E200 MP3 player. I didn't use it for about a week because I was on vacation. Anyway, when I returned when I tried to listen to my music on it, the volume is so low I can hardly hear it. I thought maybe it needed to get charged so I tried that by connecting it to my pc. It says the battery is full, but I still can't get the volume any where near where a human could listen to it. Could you suggest anything. Thanks! I just purchased the e200 yesterday and left it on the computer overnight to charge. When I play back any song the volume is extremely low. I purchased this for my wife for Mother's Day for her to use while using her tread mill. It can't be heard at all over the motor of the tread mill. Is there no way to increase the volume?

    Reset the Device

NOTE: THIS IS AN ADVANCED OPERATION. NORMAL USERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED TO PERFORM THIS OPERATION!

    Sansa e200
provides a Reset Function. Please note that you only need to use this function if the device does not respond for several minutes. The button is like a power down button of the device. You can turn off the device by using a reset operation, such as pressing and holding the Menu button for 15 seconds. Once you perform the reset function,

Strate from the manual, tell me does that solve the problem.

I am considering purchasing a Sandisc Micro SDHC 8Gb card for my Sandisc E260 MP3 Player. Will this be OK?

Hello,

Highest capacity memory card for the e200 series depends on the firmware version.

Consulting the Sandisk page gives next information:
Sansa e200 - verify the version of the player. To check, go to Settings > Info.

For 01.xx.xx firmware (e200 version 1) - up to 2GB microSD cards
For 03.xx.xx firmware (e200 version 2) - up to 16GB microSDHC cards
NOTE: Firmware is not interchangeable.

How do you adjust the volume on the Sansa e250 mp3 player

There is a volume button on your player. This is a link to your user's manual which will show you a picture of it:

Dumb me. I should have read the manual first, instead of just glancing through it.
You just turn the thumbwheel to adjust the volume.

Sansa e200 series 4 GB player

Unfortunately the lcd's are affected by heat and direct sunlight. I've had to replace lcd screens in cell phones because of this, a customer left his phone in his car and the temperature in the car reached about 135 degrees Fahrenheit.

Self Panning Headphones

I recently purchased a Sansa e280 and in three weeks of regular use it developed a similar problem, with music cutting out from playing in stereo to mono, coming out of one headphone speaker. Sandisk tech support told me to reformat the device and install the latest firmware, which I did, but the problem continued and occured more frequently. I have returned the player back to the seller and I shall not be getting another one. A nice Ipod alternative from Sandisk, but from what I have seen written about in forums, the Sansa e200 series appears to be buggey with problems.
