Question about DeLonghi Esclusivo Magnifica ESAM3300 Espresso Machine

Hi, I just bought a Delonghi Magnifica 3300. I am not able to start it. All the bottom row lights keep on flashing and I can't get past this point. Any ideas?

    Definitely! I went carefully through all the instructions and key combinations on the front panel of the machine, I even went on the Italian Delonghi website (as I happen to know this language) and studied the instructions in this and a few other languages, comparing the evolution from one model to another... This yielded no result at all!

    My doubt is the electronics are corrupt or there is some mechanical issue with the infusor/front door of the machine, disallowing me to bypass this stage and move on to complete use.

    Do please try harder, as I wouldn't have gone to paying 6 bucks just to be cleverly asked whether I connected the machine :-)))

I will take them one by one and what it means ..
first when the 3rd light is red and flashing (the one with the triangle sign ...it means that you have to close the service door..

the one in the middle means that it something wrong with the used coffee container..and when it is lit these are the actions to be done ..
•Check the used coffee container by removing it. If it is full, empty the
container, clean it and replace
the container.
•Check to make sure the used coffee container is in the machine. If it is missing, replace the container.
•Check to make sure the used coffee container is properly positioned. If it is not properly positioned, reposition the container until it fits correctly inside the machine.

the first light in the left it is the water container light ..and when it is lit you have to follow these actions ..
•Check the water tank by removing it. If it is empty, refill the tank with water and replace it.
•Check to make sure the water tank is in the machine. If it is missing,
replace the tank.
•Check to make sure the water tank is properly positioned. If it is not properly positioned, reposition the tank until it fits correctly inside the machine.
when they all flash it usually means that when you cleaned it or ..dismount it and put it back ..you left the brewing system out of the machine or it is not inserted proper..so ...the acvtion is ..
Leave the service door closed and the brewing system out of the machine. Press the 1-cup and 2-cup buttons
simultaneously until the four lights go off. Only when all of the four lights are off can the service door be re-opened and the brewing system replaced.

There is a red light flashing thru all the icons underneath the controls


Run the hot water tap until the lights stop blinking. It is asking for the water circuit to be primed IIRC.

Why doesn't my descaler light ever go off from flashing?


Perform the full descaling program as described in the manual to reset the descaling counter.

I have a Magnifica. The descale red flashing light won't reset after going through the descaling procceedure.


I have the same problem with my Delonghi Magnifica, so maybe there is a glitch in the machine..
