I have put a main greeting on my Norstar M7310 phone for all 5 incoming lines, however one of our incoming lines has grabbed a personal message form another extension and callers get that personal message...


You need to know what extension is causing the forward directly to voice mail. Chances are that this extension has ringing lines programmed to it and the forward on busy is to voice mail. ANY PHONE THAT HAS RINGING LINES SHOULD NOT BE SET TO FORWARD ON BUSY. If they happen to be on the phone when a call comes in it will go straight to their personal mailbox.

I need someone who can help me do some programing with our small business Norstar system--changing the main greeting, after hours greeting, mailbox issues, etc.


I need to chane the main greeeting on the Norstar T7316E and the message that lets you go to different people mail boxes, it is already programmed , but I would like to change it, Thanks

Record greeting


What kind of voice mail system do you have? They all are limited to the amount of total storage available. It probably has one or more mail boxes that are full and using up your storage. If it is a call pilot 100 or 150 and you have call pilot manager access, you can click on "message usage" under the reports menu and it will tell you the current storage available. Hope this helps.

Depending on the type of voicemail you have It can be accomplished by calling in to the office and when the main greeting starts playing press **, the administrator mailbox number, the password and the pound key (the administrator password must be changed from 0000). Once in the mailbox press either 9 or 99 at this point you can re record the main greeting.

You have to go to vmail prog. Press feature 983 from main tel set enter passwrd press aa press greatings type in a 2 record your greeting you will have to rerecord over greeting 1 if you want to chg it .you know how to assign it to a time of day greeting table if not give more info

Sometimes the greeting is in French ,sometimes in English when you call in,also when you pick an extension it says unavailable? Model m7310


You have to go into vmail programming and check your greeting table to see if the lauguage is correct for all time of day greetings.Go to main set press feature 983 log in 120000 for 2 digit locals 1020000 for 3 digit locals 10020000 for four digit locals etc.
admin press aa , press table, enter greeting table #step through this till you get to lang pref: Do this for all table to see if there in the same lanuage. how this helps

How do I change the MAIN greeting on my Norstar 7310 (not an individual mailbox)?


You will need to get into the mailbox admin side using f 983 once in go into the aa menu and you will find the greetings. re-record and accept.

Company Greeting


I will assume you have a Norstar Voice Mail System, to record a Company Greeting, Press Feature 9 8 3, display shows " log ", enter password ( usually 1020000 ), press OK, display shows Admin with choices MBOX AA OTHR, press AA, display shows GRTG TABLE LINES, press GRTG, enter greeting number to be recorded ( 1 to 20 ), press OK, display shows greeting <X> with choices RETRY PLAY REC, press REC, at the sound of the tone record your greeting, DO NOT HANG UP, press OK,to end your recording,display shows Accept Greeting?, you can play or re-record by pressing PLAY or RETRY, press OK to accept greeting and RLS to get out of programming. Probably the greeting you want to re-record is greeting 1. Good Luck
