If red stand by light is on and will not come on then it can be a corrupted eprom (some of the Orion Combis are very prone to this fault) need to take it to a repair Tech.

Does the TV turn on when u shob in a VHS tape?
Electricity is dangerioius ::
UNPLUG POWER CORD
open back, facing the back of TV, on your RIGHT, look to see if there is a fuse. BEFORE touching anything, take a screw driver, (anything metal) and place it inbetween metal BLADEs at end of AC cord. [of cause the AC plug is NOT pluged into the wall socket] ( this is to get any electircity still in the ckt. discharged!)
[Don't be offended!!] If u know how to use a ohms meter, test fuse or replace it with the exact value (Voltage & current)
Try that for now::
