Make sure the safety switch that the lid operates is getting pushed down. Use a popcicle stick or non metalic object to push the switch in and try to get it to spin. This switch goes bad alot. It is in a wet environment. You will normally hear or feel a click when the switch is depressed. If not, use a putty knife or butter knife to push the top retainer in that are located at the front outer corners in the gap just where the top of the machine meets the rest of the unit. While pushing in you should feel a slight resistance but it should spring in and allow the top to lift up. Make sure to unplug the unit first.... Find the switch and unplug the two wires from it and use something like a paper clip or small wire to connect the two wires together. Let the top set back down, doesn't have to snap down and try to get it to spin again. If this works then the switch is bad... There are plastic parts on some machines that push this switch when the lid is closed that get broken off without you noticing until it just doesn't work right..

SOURCE: Roper washer, agitater stripped?
It sounds like you need to replace your agitator dogs (yes, there is such a thing). They are small plastic pieces that are used by the upper portion of the agitator to grip as it turns. This is a common problem when they wear out. If you go to searspartsdirect.com, there's an illustration of what I'm talking about under the "Agitator, Basket and Tub Parts" heading. Item number 10 (part number 80040) is what you need to replace. Just type in your complete model number in the "Search by Model Number" block. The following link provides you with step-by-step instructions on how to do this:
You can find these same parts at repairclinic.com and a cheaper price. Use the part number provided. I hope this helps you.
PS The item is priced for a package of 4.

Good Afternoon Sarah, thanks for your post!
From the information you have provided the washer on your Frigidaire laundry center will not agitate or spin and will drain. This sounds like a possible issue with your motor or belt. In order to pinpoint the issue with your washer you may need to disassemble the washer and test each component for electrical issues and cosmetic damage. This is not a simple DIY job and I would recommend you speak with a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. Hopefully this information is helpful. -Matt
