Question about HP Photosmart 3310 Printer
Open the printer as if to replace an ink cartridge. On the print head there is a black plastic arm about 2 inches long. Re-connect this with the white cog wheel so that the protruding part is in the center of the black arm. Close lid, power on and job done.

I have the same error 0xc05d0281 .and in the print head you sea the black parte atach to a gear. and then on the top to white plastic. ok i notece one is break and i repear the part whit super glue and the error go off. the go under the metal part. sorry my inglish i am from mexico if you whant pics sendme email firstname.lastname@example.org

SOURCE: Ink system failure
Try the following reset:
Hold the OK and the Help button at the same time. While holding them down, plug the power in. Continue to hold both buttons until the unit shut off.
After shutting down, release both buttons and power on the printer.
Alternatively follow instructions on this document from HP.
