Question about Samsung SGH-U600 Cellular Phone
Hi, i must answer 10 of these problems a day about the white screen.
the problem is with the data ribbon that connects the screen to the circuit board this has thin single strand wires in it which over time become brittle and break then you lose the connection with the screen and this is why you get the white screen, the screen is getting power so you know the phone is working and you will still be able to receive and make calls if you knew how to do it without having the screen on.
now for the good news as this is such a common problem it makes the part very cheap to buy and also the cost of getting it fitted is very low as well, your best and cheapest option of getting this fixed is to take it into a small phone shop and not one of those big branded shops if you take it to a big branded shop they will send it off and charge you more for doing this, so if you take it to a small shop they should be able to fix it whilst you wait or the next day at the latest.
this phone is worth getting fixed if the screen wasnt lighting up or the phone was totally dead then i would say scrap it but as its only a simple fix then the costs would be worth paying to get fixed.
let me know if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
