    Hello,
Well first of all the webcam program I am using is called Life Frame and my laptop is an ASUS K60IJ. While I am on the webcam there is no error message and when i go under hardware and click drives it's says that the device is working properly. How can I connect with you through the chat? Is there any way we can talk on the phone?

    Thanks, Addy

  • addybg Sep 07, 2010

Oh I am sorry I just got back home.

How do you get on the chat and do I have to pay extra to use that feature?

    Thank you, Addy

The image of my webcam is upside down??
    help please

  • addybg Sep 14, 2010

    Hey,
I have already updated the driver and that did not provide a solution, my computer keeps on replying that the device is working properly. Also, the advanced setting on my webcam that you mentioned is not an option for my webcam, LifeFrame. I use skype and the image is still upside down as well as when I just run the LifeFrame program. I have heard that reinstalling the driver will help but I can not find one capable with my laptop, Asus k60IJ

    Thank you , Addy

    try this addtional troubleshooting steps:

    Step 1:

You might be Mirroring Vertical in WebCam Settings.

Go to Advanced. Under your picture, then using the WebCamera,

Click on the Down Arrow, and then click WebCam Settings.

Just check the settings for "Vertical Flip" and change it accordingly ie uncheck it if the checkbox is checked.

    Step 2:

We can try to update the drivers to the most recent and check if it works.

You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps.

    1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.? If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    2. In Device Manager, locate the device you want to update, and then double-click the device name.

    3. Click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver and follow the instructions.

Hi. Go to the device manager of your computer for you to check what model of the camera you are using. You should be seeing 1 of the 3 standard models there. They are Suyin, Azyreware and chicony. Download the correct driver that will match to the device manager.

Performing the above steps should resolve the issue.

If the issue still persists, please perform the below steps:

1) You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps.
2) Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.? If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3) In Device Manager, locate the device you want to update, and then double-click the device name.

SOURCE: my built-in webcam pictures have upside down. how ...

You first have to uninstall your webcam driver. Then start the TASK MGR and go to SERVICES tab, find MScamSVC and Stop the service. Have the driver downloaded and extracted. Go to the directory that you extracted the driver to and run the Setup. Then WAIT until it says it's completed the process and prompts you to reboot.

MY WEBCAM PIC IS UPSIDE DOWN

Look in the settings for the webcam software (may be in the software you use for video calling, if no other software is showing the picture inverted then it's a strong possibility that it is the video calling software settings) to rotate the picture.

The image is inverted

This may sound ridiculous but check and see if the camera is in the holder upside down :) It is possible, but very unlikely, that the software is inverting the image... but it is much more likely that the camera itself is upside down.

The laptop has a built in camera. My picture is inverted. How do I fix this problem

hi lilly, i am happy to assist you, just follow the steps.

To check the Webcam issue, go to http://www.cameroid.com/ and see if your picture is upside down.

If your picture is upside down, then that means that a setting for your webcam could be wrong. (You might find your webcam control software either under Control Panel, or in "All Programs" under the manufacturer's folder.) To fix this, launch your webacm configuration program and click Properties, look around the program [the option MAY be hidden in an ADVANCED tab,] and make sure that there isn't some option checked that says something like "flip video".

If your picture **ISN'T** upside down (from Cameroid.com,) then that means your camera is working properly, and that your VIDEO PLAYER is flipping the video on playback. Launch your video player, and click Properties. Look for a "Flip Video"-like entry and make sure it is turned off.

How do I correct an upside-down image?

Normal 0 Try this, while the computer is running, unplug the camera from the USB Port , wait a few seconds and then plug it back in. I have fixed several cmaeras that were upside down that had the same problem by doing this.
Worth a try.
Hope this helps. Bud
