Question about John Deere 4000 201000-> Gas & Diesel Tractor Radiator

Open Question

My F935 John Deere mower has a PTO issue. After mowing for about 20-30 minutes the PTO light starts flashing and the alarm goes off. The blades are still turning tho. Any direction you can give me on how to fix this and why it is happening would be most appreciated. Thanks

if you have multiple speed settings for your PTO , you may have it set on too high a speed for that implement. Not a solution, just a thought. :)
    I'll keep thinking on it.

Blades won't engage on John Deere x540.

I would remove the PTO switch and have a Deere dealer test it. Also on the 500 series the PTO operates through the ignition control module which is under the dash, you can see it when you raise the hood. It is black and about 2" wide x 3" long and 1" thick.

I have a John Deere Sabre 1948 Hydro while mowing if I go in reverse the engine wants to cut off. What causes that?

It's a safety mechanism that will automatically shut down the PTO or blades. That's what you have going on. It's normal.

Blades disengage after mowing for a while on John deere x495

This could be a couple of things. Your pto clutch could be going bad. Or, if you loose charge from battery your pto will shut off as well. I would check volts across battery terminals, then start unit and raise rpms and note the change if any. If there is no change in rpms from stopped, idle, to high rpms you have a charging issue that would cause this problem. If charging system checks out your problem probably lies in pto clutch. Hope this helps, good luck!

John Deere X304 PTO Engagement Problem When Warm

Hi, check your belt tension, check all idler pulleys and drive pulleys for free rotation with the belt off and finally check that the belt is not bottoming out in any of the drive pulleys. If so, replace the belt. The blades should come up to speed imediately wether hot or cold and it sounds like your belt is slipping in one or more of the pulleys which drags the motor revs down until it grips. Regards Phil.

F935 re-aliwning drive shaft for deck after blade change?

If you look close at the splines of the shaft you would see 2 of the splines are pinched together at the end of shaft and on the recieving end of shaft you would see that there is a small cutout where the 2 "pinched" splines would line up when slid together.
