Hi,
The problem is that the chain is dull on one side...you hit something on one side of the chain and dulled the teeth on that side and now it tries to cut in a circle....
Either get a new chain...sharpen the chain your self... this is tricky if you have never done it before...or have a pro sharpen the chain...

The chain needs sharpened or replaced. You can purchase the tools from any hardware store, and sharpen the chain yourself in about 15 minutes. Don't worry, your saw is just fine!

My chainsaw will not cut straight after chain was shrpened because I hit a rock.

Hi,
If the chain is still not cutting straight, it is because it is not sharpen correctly...the cause of it cutting crooked is because on side of the teeth are sharper then the other side...getting it to cut straight again can be extremely difficult and time consuming...the teeth must be equally sharp and the depth gauge (or aniti kickback) part of the teeth also filed to the same dimension...
Often it is easier to just buy a new chain...

Chainsaw cuts at an angle.....Why

The most common reason for this is uneven sharpening of the chain. Closely examine the chain and look for one ise to be worn more than the other. Try sharpening the dull side If sharpening is not a possibility, install a new chain. If the new chain also cuts to one side than the bar needs to be repaced as the chain is not being held straight.

Keep us posted,

Dan

Chainsaw does not cut straight, veres off at an angle only happened since adjusting the chain ,is there an adjustment for this?

Typically this is a problem with sharpening the chain....if the chain has been sharpened unevenly (different angles on the cutters) it will drift to one side. Also most people tend to be more comfortable sharpening one side than the other and the teeth on that side will get worn faster.
As long as it is that right chain for the saw / bar and it is sharpened evenly it should cut straight.
There is no adjustment per se.
Take care.

Cuts crooked

A saw wont cut straight if the cutting plates are of different lengths or blunt, due to improper sharpening. Take it to a repair shop or a hire centre and they might put it right. You might be better with a new chain. Stephen.

I have a husqvarna 350 chainsaw, it wont cut straight throuh a log without cutting at an angle and getting jamed. what is the problem , any sharpening tips

THE ONLY THING THAT CAUSES A SAW TO CUT ON A CURVE IS THE CHAIN IS SHARPER ON ONE SIDE THEN THE OTHER AND IT PULLS THE SAW CHAIN TO ONE SIDE CAUSING THIS PROBLEM.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SAW, IF YOU USE A FILE TRY A FILE GUIDE THEY WORK GREAT
