The gator was running and just stopped. I checked all the wiring and recharged the battery. It will not go in any gear. I also checked the fuse.

First of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, if the battery doesn't show any volts, lift up one side of the blue plastic housing on the top and verify that both the positive and negative wires are plugged in

SOURCE: gator will only drive in reverse

I would replace the reverse switch as seen in here http://www.shopjandl.com/mepu0003.html and also the high low switch for this peg perego gator.
Sometimes the high/low switch will cause it to not go in reverse, so I would replace both switches in the shifter just to make sure.
They are really easy to replace. You can call these guys http://www.shopjandl.com/.
They know what they are talking about because they sell and repair them.

SOURCE: I'am Looking for a diagram for a Plunger Fuse onthe gator 4x2

The wire sequence is red, white, blue.
The red is the farthest from the other two.
If it is a peg perego switch plunger style then this will work.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: gator wont go

No, just the shifter. Just to check you can exchange the red and blue wires under the pedal(just for a second or so, do not do this permanently) to see if you get power to the wheels, if so then yes it is Definitely only the shifter, but I am still pretty sure it is just the shifter. you can also call Peg Perego Tech support which is excellent and they can help you too 1800-728-2108 and parts can be priced and found at www.mypegperegoparts.com

My child's gator just stopped working. She got on it, it went slow in both gears then, no reverse or 1ST, NOW NOTHING AT ALL. PLEASE HELP. All wires look good.

Jamie, sounds like a bad battery, try and recharge battery. You may have to find a small electronics shop to check battery and charger to verify if they are any good.

Bought new battery for the john deere gator ride on toy but only runs for a short time then battery needs recharging

Hi, How long does it run? Typically you should get at least 45 min of run time out a fully charged battery. If it's slowing gradually and dying in just a few minutes its the battery. If it's goign full speed and then stopping suddenly, it's probably the thermal breaker located in the shift mechanism.

Peg pergo John Deere Gator goes for about 2 seconds then stops suddenly

it almost sounds like a thermal fuse, but these don't have a thermal fuse, so id say it might be a bad shifter switch
