Hi

Please check the electrode whether it is clean and the holes of the burner are clean. Electrode is the small piece that is from where the sparks comes off. Use a pin or paper clip to clean out the burner holes, don’t use the tooth picks as they might get stuck and break.
Now check for the ignition switches under the surface control knobs, the switches can break and keep the spark module on and the spark keeps "clicking" even when the burner is light. If everything looks fine then you may have a bad spark module. It may also have happened that the switches or the range control knobs have got wet and are causing the spark module to continuously click or fire off sparks continuously. Use your hair/blow dryer and blow some hot air around the spark module area. Let the area dry completely and check. If this doesn’t resolve the issue then you would need to replace the ignition switch/spark module. Please check the schematic below---

Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.

The igniter switch(s) has most likely failed shorted. Fairly common with gas ranges with spark ignition.

Burners continuously clicking

The most common cause of this complaint is from liquids getting into the internal igniter switches or igniter wiring for the range and shorting them out. This happens many times when someone cleans a range with liquid cleaners or a pot of water boils over. The fix to this is to unplug the range for 24 to 48 hours to allow the liquid to dry out. Sometimes you can speed this drying process up with a hair dryer. Remove the burner knobs and point the dryer into each burner knob stem to get the heat in there and dry out the switches. Once the liquid has dried then you should be able to plug the range back in and it will work like normal. If you leave it plugged in the excessive use of the ignition system can short out the coil. The second thing it can be is a defective ignition switch. Each burner knob has an ignition switch built into it. If one of those swithces gets stuck in the closed position then this can cause the ignitioin system to continously run. The fix for that is to replace the switch.

Kitchenaid gas stove left back burner won't light. hear clicking

I have one of the kitchenaide gas ranges and if the burner cap is not set on PERFECTLY straight, the gas doesn't flow properly and will not ignite. Try lifting and replacing the cap back down on the burner and see if this solves it.

Oven bake ignites usually have lifetime 5-7 years. If igniter glows but gas not came in - replace igniter. Same with broil igniter.

Ignitor maytag MGR6772BDS gas stove

One of your switches on the gas controls is bad. You'll have to remove the lines from the switches to the ignitor one at a time to figure out which. With the power off, lift the top of the range to expose the controls. There are connectors for the power at each control. After removing one line, turn the power back on and see the result. You'll know when you've hit the right switch. Then, replace it.
