Question about Fuji Finepix S9600 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Media selection With both compact flash and xd memory cards installed at the same time, xd card works fine when selected, however, when selecting compact flash, camera will not take a picture and eventually says their is a write error. compact flash works fine on it's own. Does anyone else have this problem, mind you, it's only a small problem, the camera is really great. Stretch.

I tried to use a 16GB PNYcard in my picture fram and it would not work. It said "No Card" on the screen. What's the answer?

The slot marked SD/MMC/MS/xD is meant to be used for your regular memory card, such as the one you use in your camera. USB flash drives can be inserted into the USB port on the side of the frame.

To select from the various types of memory, press Exit until the memory devices are highlighted at the bottom of the screen, and then use the left and right arrow buttons to select the desired memory type. Press Enter to access the selected memory type.

PHOTOS ON INTERNAL MEMORY - HOW DO I TRANSFER THEM TO CARD SO THAT I CAN GET THEM PRINTED AT SHOP?

Hi KarenB,
Not sure if anyone ever got back to you on this but i just had the same problem then googled it and found this
Yes, the [BACKUP] feature will transfer files from the camera's internal memory to an xD-Picture Card™ flash memory card. It does not delete those files from the internal memory. To perform a backup, insert an xD-Picture Card flash memory card into the camera and then turn the camera on. Press the [MENU] button. Press the Right arrow button to select the Setup icon, and then press the [OK] button to enter the Setup menu. Use the Up or Down arrow to select [BACKUP], and then press [OK].

Problem retrieving photos from Xd Card after computer crashed

You can explore the removable media with the following instruction as follow:

Note: This is only applicable with windows XP

1.) Right click on my computer at your desktop
2.) Click Manage then you can see Computer Management
3.) Click Disk Management if you can see your harddrive plug in
4.) Select the appropriate drive you need to explore and right click
5.) Select explore.

If you done it will you can now copy and paste the file to another folder which is not belong to the selected drive. Maybe at your drive C:

And don't forget to reformat the removable media the copy the same file and paste it in to newly formated removable media.

Please don't forget to vote my solution as solve, don't just leave it as it is not necessary.

Best regards,

Philip
