As you may know the gas continually comes on and off all through the cycle to regulate the heat. So the ig nitor and flame sensor is working because you hear it. But the lack of heat is due to faulty solenoid coils getting hot and quitting. When they cool off they work just a little bit more. Very hard to diagnose but easy to fix. Just get some new coilsmy whirlpool ultimate care II - e0158ca.jpgDrop the bottom panel and you can access the gas assembly

Page 64 of the cabrio dryer manual shows how to replace those coils. I wish I had the exact manual for your machine. I am gonna look and see if I do.

In that case you remove the filter and them 2 screws at the top, then you can get the front off. This shows how: I did a pictorial HERE

Ultimate Care II - Rinse Cycle does not start

sounds like a lid switch problem. is there a clicking noise when you open and close the lid?
if not then the lid switch may need to be replaced; inexpensive.
this could also be caused by a bad timer.
also try a different speed for the rinse cycle, it may be a bad motor and it is not going into a certain speed. instead of gentle or slow speed try fast or normal, something like that.
