We have a FAC127P1A and if you gently pull the lower cover by holding each side where there is an indentation it will lower so you can get to the filter. Then either replace or wash the filter. We have another model, FAA087P7A1, and we were able to pull the cover down and lift up slightly and remove the cover and wash to remove the collection of dust, etc.

On this latter model there is a collection of dust, etc. in the area where the cooling is blown into the room that I would like to know how to remove for cleaning. I feel it is unhealthy the way it is now and would like to clean it before removing for the season. I know I could use q-tips or a small piece of cloth to clean but that is pain staking.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

How to remove cover on indoor unit of Fujitsu aotr30l ct

Undo the screws at the bottom and on the front panel. There may be one behind the power cover as well. You may have to remove the horizontal louvers but be careful because they have a spring or two to assist the louvers swinging and can fly off. When you are sure all the screws have been removed, you will have to use a flat screwdriver to gently lever off the plastic hooks holding the top of the cover to the back - one at each end and one in the middle. Try to see with a torch and be careful not to break the plastic or damage the heat exchanger. The cover comes off best from the top forward.

Also, there may be a couple of hooks under the bottom edge as well. They come loose by pushing up at the bottom edge where the small arrows are.

Horizontal louvers

Get yourself up to the machine on a safe platform. Remove any covers that will come off easy, or tie them up out of the way. Remov e the filters. Often the whole front can be removed by just taking out a couple of screws.
Once exposed, look for something out of place. Put the louver back where it belongs to see how the hinge works. It may have jumped out of it's proper position. Ease it back in position and check it for freedom of movement. If it looks good, put it all back together.

How do I pull out the air conditioner from the sleeve? Something is holding the middle of the louvers preventing me from pulling out the ac. Help

if its getting hung up on the middle of the louvers check to make sure nothing has pushed the louvers in ,in that spot. Also look inside after you have front cover off to make sure all screws are out and it can have a simple catch lock on the inside to avoid accidental slide out.

My haier air condition doesn't have anything on vent to get cool air\r\ni believe it had styrofoam which got thrown away because we though it wasn't needed

I don't think a piece of thrown away Styrofoam is the problem. I'm more concerned that you may have also thrown the Owner's Manual away too. You said, "there's nothing on the front to get cool air in." Are you saying, that the front of the unit that has fixed louvers at the bottom and adjustable louvers at the top is missing? Because that's where the cool air comes out thru the adjustable louvers), when the unit is in operation. If the entire front of the unit is missing and the unit is brand new, you need to contact retailer you purchased it from ASAP.

I hope this helps and thank you for choosing FixYa.

My air vent louvers are broken on one of my dashboard vents. Is it easily removed to be replaced or repaired.? 2005 Dodge Ram

Chances are the louver is toast. They are relatively easy to remove. Pry gently at the top and bottom of the louver with a small flat screwdriver. The two pegs holding it in place should pop free. You will probably find that one or more of the tiny plastic pins are broken.
The dealer should carry them but I am going to start looking at the junk yard first.
Hope this helps.

Is there a replacement thermometer? the compressor will not cycle

This is not a solution, but---. I had to set thermostat all the way up to 86 (high as it would go) and remove front panel entirely. It now cycles OK on energy saver but will sometimes get too cold. Seems any blockage of air flowing out into the room will negate cycling on/off. I've totally blocked intake to coils with no effect on cycling. Any time I replace front panel (with louvers) the system doesn't like me. I'm still searching for correct solution.

Have whirlpool gold accuwave micro hood combo model# GH51884XPS5

The inspector is correct, air should be coming through the top louvers, although you sometimes will have a little air coming from the sides and back. Drop the microwave and see which way the blower is rotated, towards the louvers or towards the back or top. Some units also have a panel that blocks the venting from going the wrong way.
