You have to check the Bios CMOS setup in that enable the network boot from the client and check it and change the all other system on your client.

Hello,

This is more a configuration error. Depending on how you have your DHCP setup, you may need to adjust it's setting. No mention of what os you are using but if you set your DHCP to give IP addresses only to the LAN, set the ISP NIC address to receive its ip from the ISP provider, you should be able to get Internet access to your server and the LAN.

If you have done so, use the server os to setup your Internet connection. Answer a few questions about how you connect to the Net and the os will do most of the configuration for you.

Local area connection is always disabled

Check the settings of your system. In some computers like dell, if the computer is running in battery mode it will automatically disable you LAN. You may also enable it by going to the device manager under network adapters.

Local Area Connection is Now Connected, BUT DC

You Say: " The lan cables are having no problem at all and also the modem and the router. There are no problems there at all. It's just troublesome whenever this box pops up"

If you want to disable this from popping up, just click the connection icon in "network connections" , "properties" , and unclick " Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity".

But I think you have a real issue causing this and I would go into the propertirs for your network adapter and remove EVERYTHING, reboot, and put it all back in. Make sure you look at all the properties under TCP/IP etc. and set it all back the same as it was.

This will essentially reinstall ALL your networking componants back to Brand Mew!

If you have problems after this, you have a stting wrong somewhere or a hardware issue.

LAN automatically disconnects while downloading and starts working only after disabling and again enabling the local area connection

With this issue it could be the Hardware / Software compatibility. The first thing to do is ensure the latest drivers are installed or the NIC. If the latest drivers are installed I would recommend replacing the NIC. They are less than $30 and they come with great drivers, and if the old NIC is onboard it would be advantageous to get it off the Motherboard. It would be best to open up the computer before you run out to get the new NIC and makesure the motherboard can support a PCI card. This card slips into the White slot that is about 3 inches long. If you have a White slot that is about 1 inch long this PCI card will not fit into it the card you will need is a PCI Express x1 NIC. The rest of the information you will need is provided by the NIC Manufacturer.

Try forcing the ports that the server connects to on the switch to 100Mb Full duplex, sometimes one side negotiates incorrectly, and the switch can set itself to half duplex, even though the other end is set to full duplex.

Check if your LAN card is enable:
Go to Start and click on Control Panel.
2) Control Panel window will appear. Double click on Network Connections.
3) Network Connections window will appear. Right click Local Area Connection.
If the connection is currently enabled, the first option in this menu will be Disable. Otherwise, the option will be Enable.
Click on the Enable/Disable option to enable/disable your network connection.
