Model 34-670 type 1 Delta Table Saw - removed trunnion to clean the saw and make repair to the table tilt crank and clean out trap saw dust in the trunnion area. Two "shims" fell out of the trunnion area and there are four possible locations with the 4 bolts. I need help on locating the replacement area for the shims.

Aligning your tablesaw's trunnions to the table surface can be quite difficult to explain without graphic. Instead of quessing where the shims were please take a look at the following web address for a serious look at alignment.

I have a delta 34-444 table saw, is it a right or left tilt, or how do i find out?

Left-tilt, right-tilt refers to the direction the top of the blade can be tilted when it is not straight up and down. There will be an indicator on the front of the saw, normally pointing to zero. When you adjust the blade away from zero, if it tilts to the left, it is a left-tilt saw.

You may have better luck finding another saw, but check into this site, and post your request on their bulletin board. I've had some good luck with them in the past.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Looking for owners manuals for 2 saws

Your Delta radial arm saw (RS830) manual is here. Exploded diagram for parts, etc is here.

I'm not sure on the Rockwell, but here's a link to a manual for a Rockwell-Delta 10" Tilting Arbor Unisaw, circa 1969 which seems about right for a 34-466.

If that's not quite right, there a couple other manuals for old Rockwell saws here.

If this answer helped, please vote. Thanks!

Blade is not parallel to the channel. How do I adjust it?

Instruction manual for your saw is here. See Page 21. You need to adjust your blade alignment to the miter slots. As mentioned in the manual, there are a couple bolts that hold the rear trunnion in place. Loosen them up, shift the motor a bit (not an easy task). Keep checking blade alignment until you've got it down.

There are after market trunnion alignment kits for table saws that make this a bit easier. Check out PALS (Precision Alignment & Locking System). For $20 or so, it makes the process MUCH MUCH easier.

45 degree tilting problem

You have set screws in the table top, they stop the trunnions from tilting at a certain point, just blow out the dust and get a wrench in there and turn it up or down, they stop tilt both directions.

How do I align the saw blade with the saw table I have a 10 inch Delta Contractor's saw that is about 10 years old. The blade is not straignt with the miter slot. andyc@bergeralllied.com

The Blade Arbor is held to the bottom of the table with mounting screws and stop/adjusting screws. Loosen the mounting screw and adjust the stop screws to make Blade true with miter slot.

My table saw stops after a minute or two i replaces the capacitor and still does the same the breaker pops out

This means it's drawing high amp. Could be just packed with saw dust, getting hot. The breaker is probably thermal. Clean it up good. If it still trips, check for name plate current on motor and test.
