What is the default color setting of samsung syncmaster 793s?

try holding all the buttons on the monitor (except the power button) for like 5 seconds. Manufacturers usually put that as a reset feature on monitors. If it doesnt work, consult the user manual.

There is an option on the monitor to reset colour to factory default. Just bring up the on screen menu by pressing the left most button at the botton. Use the button next to this to highlight the colour settings which I think is the 5th or next to last option down. You will then see the option to reset colour and various other factory default settings. Happy computing

Try unplugging the monitor and then restart, and then go back to default settings.

The default resulution is 1024 x 768, you can keep the Screen Refresh list at 75 Mhz

If you have been at "Out of Range" then you need to reboot and press F8 before windows load up, then choose VGA Mode. When windows finished loading you can fix the resolution again as you like. Hope this fix your problem

Well to narrow down the problem I would suggest first that you try to disconnect the monitor from your APC Back-UPS and just plug it directly to the wall outlet, UPS or surge protectors may cause interference at times with some electronic devices. Then if it's still here, I would recommend that you try to degauss the monitor, all CRT monitors have this option in the OSD. You should also check if there is any magnetic device near the monitor, like a speaker or phone that can cause this. If another PC is available can you try it there also, see if the problem is seen on another PC.

Finally, run the monitor self-test, to do this just leave the monitor plugged into the power outlet and disconnet the video cable, and you'll see it. If the problem is still there then most likely the monitor will have to be checked in a service center or be replaced eventually, since this would already be a hardware problem. Especially since you said the problem is apparent even in the OSD.

You can increase brightness by eht .Move button of screen that is placed on eht
