Hi,
The motor has gone bad... the best thing to do is to take it back and get another one... often if a motor is bad it will fail very quickly like that...

Have a KDK stand fan that stop immediately after starting. It will stop whether using the remote control or pressing the fan start button

Hi,
If the an runs slowly and hesitates that means it needs some lubrication, drop a few oil in the mid part where the fan blade is located, manually rotate the fan until it loosen up.
Another cause might be the timer that is already broken and needs to be replace.

Hope that helps you out.

A balloon string got stuck behind the blades of my Lasko three speed stand up fan while it was running. When i pulled the string out the fan never came back on. What needs to be done to get it working...

remove front of fan sheild, you should be able to see a few screws holding sheild on. remove fan blade then fix it. most blades just pull off of motor shaft. good-day!

Freezer fan starts sounding like its rubbing louder and louder on a french door model 79577312600. if I unplug it clean out the food and use a hair dryer to defrost behind the inner skin at the center vent...

you are correct. it is not the fan causing your troubles.
you have water getting into the fan blade and freezing next to the blade causing the noise.
the ice maker is the most common problem. it maybe leaking behind the panels and causing water to form ice then get into the blade and make the noise.
shut the i/m off for a few days and see if this stops the noises. if so, then check the fill tube, its a plastic tube from the rear of the unit into the i/m. if it is overflowing and leaking then you might need to adjust the tube so it doesnt leak when filling into the i/m. its somewhat simple but may seem hard. just put some type of a sealant around the tube to prevent water from running out of the tube.
if this doesnt fix the problem, then you may have an i/m that needs replaced. but dont do that first. the tube is usually the problem.

RV A/C blower not working and keeps kicking out

If blower not working, and yoou hear a slight "Hum" with fan only on, try this. With power off to AC. Go up on roof, and slide a stick through opening on side near rear, and try to get to fan blades at rear of unit. try to spin the blades a few times, even if it only goes a little at a time. Unless you want to take all those screws out & remove cover to get at it better, but watch for wasps under there. Give fan a couple of full rotations, then have someone turn it on to fan only & see what happens. If fan finally works, let it run for a few minutes on fan, then try cool & see if it all comes together again. Let me know.

LOUD NOISE WHILE DRYING

remove the back cover that covers the lint trap. there is a fan blade back there and some foreign object is probably hitting the fan blade

HAMPTON BAY CEILING FAN MODEL # UC7067RC

I have a solution for you. Call 1-866-600-FANS(3267) and give them the numbers on the side of the receiver. Example: 7067FM-22 (6+5) Variations of this receiver are used by many different manufacturers including Hampton Bay,Emerson,Minka Aire, etc... There is a web site that shows a few examples of this receiver available. http://www.fanmanlighting.com
P.S. It helps to know if your Ceiling Fan has a 2nd light above the fan or reverses direction from the transmitter.

Compressor won't stay on...

My guess is that you have a problem with one of the following:

Start relay...this gives a quick shot to the compressor to start the cycle...if it doesn't shut it will go to overload. The capacitor in the start circuit which assists the start relay or the compressor itself. Best bet: get a service guy in.

Quick Fix?

The compressor is locking up when it gets hot. We have seen alot of this on the units with Tecumseh compressors. If it is less than 5 yrs old it should still be covered by the sealed system warranty and repaired free of charge.
If it is out of any warranty, there are "fit-all" compressor starters with start capacitors built in them that give it a little extra boost on start-up. They are called 3-in-1 or kickstart starters. This will usually buy you a few months until you can replace fridge.
If it is covered by warranty but will take a few days to get repaired, you can get by ok by unplugging fridge at night and plugging back in in the morning. This is what I tell my customers when I have to order a compressor and so far they have been able to keep from losing food.
