We can't get our flat oven racks in our wall oven - our electrician in to look and he wondered if they were the wrong ones.

We really need a tiny bit of clarification.... Do the oven racks go in at all? Most oven racks have a "bend" in the rear of the rack that requires you to lift up the front as you insert it into the tracks. There is a "bump" at the front of the tracks that this bent part of the rack needs to go under. This is in order to keep the racks from falling out if pulled out too far when removing items. If your racks are either too wide or too narrow to fit at all, then you likely have the wrong racks.
Hope this was helpful, and if it was please thumbs up my response.

On my model #EW30EW65GS3 in the self cleaning cycle even tho I removed all the racks & the rack supports it keeps flashing remove racks

Hello. From what you're describing, there might be a problem with the rack switch. It is connected directly to the main oven display board at connector P10 for a single oven(See pic 3, left side, middle). On the double oven model, there will be a P12 connector near the same area. TURN OFF POWER TO THE OVEN BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO CHECK ANYTHING!! On the double oven display board, there will be a connector P10 and P12 for the upper and lower oven racks. The part number for the main oven display board is 7316516536 in case the switches are good. The rack switch part number for the upper and lower oven is 7318903403. The part number is the same for the switch in the single oven model. Note the designation on the exploded parts diagram as 14(with a circle around the part). I've included the last pic(the oven relay board) just for future information. The part number for it is 7316443919(dual oven relay board). If you are hesitant about attempting to troubleshoot the oven, definitely call for service! This can be an INVOLVED REPAIR requiring advanced troubleshooting. The connectors on the circuit board can be damaged easily as they are multi-pin devices. You will need a voltage/ohm meter with fine probe tips to perform continuity checks on the rack switch(s). I hope I helped you!

Electrolux Icon Oven self cleaning won't start- the lock button keeps flashing. Yes, the racks and rack holders are removed.

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are having trouble with your Electrolux Icon oven, model# E30SO75ESS, and running the self-clean cycle. I see that the lock button keeps flashing and that you have the racks and rack holders out. I suggest following the steps below to run your self-clean cycle:

    1) Place the rack holders and the racks in your oven.

    2) Reset your appliance, by shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes.

    3) Restore power.

    4) Reset the clock, by pressing the "Clock" button then press the number "2". Enter in the time of day, and then press the "Clock" button again.

    5) Start the self-clean cycle with the racks in your range. This is to make your oven recognize that the racks are in the oven.

    6) Take the racks and rack holders out and start the self-clean cycle again.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your oven status has changed successfully.

    -Best Regards-

We have an Electrolux Icon oven and cannot get the self cleaner to work. We removed all racks (including side racks) turned it to clean and nothing happened. We shut off the power and turned it back...

There is a small white plastic triangular switch that needs to be in the out position for the oven to recognize that the racks have been taken out. Look at the back left side WITHIN the upper rack support channel. (This is not the small U-shaped piece that can be seen slightly lower on the wall oven.) If the switch is still depressed, with power turned off at the breaker, depress the switch using a small screwdriver. It should pop outwards to the proper "racks out" position. When we had this problem and recycled the power, we again got the signal. Husband switched to a nonconductive tool and repeated the depressing/releasing of the switch while the oven was giving the "remove racks" command. It sensed that all was well and now operates properly. If this does not fix the problem, you may have to replace a board $$$.

How do i place the oven racks back in

If you look at the rails on the sides of the oven, they should have a little jig or curve about 1/4 of the way back from the front. Hold the rack with the little curved end toward the back of the oven and have the front of it several inches higher than the back of it. Select the slot where you want it to go and start feeding the rack into the oven, as soon as the back of the rack passes the little jig in the side rail, you will be forced to let the front of the rack down level with the back and then you can slide it the rest of the way in. Hopefully this helps!

usually racks are not left in because the high heat generated causes the chrome finish to become dull and darker. If you don't care what the racks look like I would say go for it.
